The police have finally caught the thief who stole Rs. 1 lakh from Sandalwood actor Vinod Raj. As per the reports, the person was caught by Nelamangala police on Thursday.

The accused was reportedly identified as Samson aka Ojikuppam Raju who hails from Andhra Pradesh. Along with him, names of some other members including Chinna, Tulasi and Naresh also came out who planned and stole the cash from Vinod Raj on September 28. Sources report that Vinod had reportedly withdrawn the cash to pay the workers at his orchard. But after leaving the bank and getting into his car, Vinod was approached by a boy who told him his car’s tyre got flattened. Then another man also approached him and informed him about the same.

As soon as Vinod started focusing on repairing the tire, other members of the gang came and stole the bag which has cash and ran away. Samson accepted the crime and the rest of 3 members who are involved are yet to be caught.

In a shocking incident, two West Bengal men named Vjay and Ajay, two brothers, have cheated Bollywood actors Tej Sapru and his sister Preethi.

The two actors are well known for their acts in several films and serials. Ajay and Vijay have been working in their respective houses for a long time, and they have earned the trust of their masters. During their stay, the duo learned where their masters keep the valuable things.

The other day, when both Tej and Preethi were for shooting, Vijay and Ajay looted the respective houses and are on the run now. After learning this, a police complaint has been lodged and the investigation is on.

The duo has run away with valuables worth Rs 30 lakh it is heard.

Actress Shruthi Sawant, better known by her screen name Iniya, just had a burglary at her home in Thiruvananthapuram in which, approximately Rs 5 lacs in cash and valuable gold ornaments, also worth lacs, were stolen!

The police, along with their dog squad, have been mobilized and it is not known yet if there has been development in the search for the culprits. The actress lives at home with her parents and the theft, apparently took place when the family was out for a late night show of a movie.

The father of the 21 year old Kerala born starlet, told the media that the ornaments and the cash were for his daughter’s wedding, which they had collected over the years. No – it doesn’t mean Iniya is about to tie the knot soon (that we know of at least)!

The beautiful actress, with her dusky complexion and sultry looks had turned heads the first time in the Tamil movie – Vaagai Sooda Vaa – in which her performance was acclaimed critically and opened new doors for her.

It was for this movie that she changed her name to Iniya as she felt Shruthi was a very common name and didn’t stand out much. Anyway, Iniya became a recognised face especially because of the songs in the period flick like ‘Sara sara saara kaathu’ and ‘Poraney poraney’ which became chart topping hits.

Although it was Kollywood that welcomed the actress with open arms, she had done some minor work in Malayalam before; but undoubtedly it was the Tamil movie’s success that got her noticed and she went on to play a pivotal role in the Malayalam film Ayal starring Lal which also gathered up quite a few laurels.

Well, it looks like lady luck left her side with this incident though and hopefully the police manage to recover the stolen property.
