A lot of rumors in the social media have recently reported that multiple TV hosts were also involved in the prostitution racket that was busted in Chicago. A lot of media houses have reported that Anasuya Bharadwaj gave her reaction to this but in reality, Anasuya said that she does not make any comment on it.

Giving more clarity, she has written on social media, “As much as I want to keep myself away from unnecessary issues. I am being mentioned in the most disrespectful manners by few social media handles and on all possible platforms. It takes a lot to make the identity one wants. If you aren’t encouraging at least do not take liberty in image damaging. If I have any opinion on any issue I am right here to express it. As long as I personally don’t then whoever says anything it is them saying not me.” wrote Anasuya Bharadwaj on her social media profile.

Telugu NRI girl Annapurna Sunkara became a sensation after she posted that controversial video on her Facebook page criticizing Tollywood filmmakers and artists especially Baahubali, Rajamouli and comedian Ali. While she received appreciation from some, many threw brickbats at her for using Film industry for her personal fame.

She has even got crude response from Ali and anchors Ravi, Syamala and Karuna. Ravi asked her to prove her talent if she has any by making films and not use the names of legends to get attention. Female anchors Shyamala and Karuna have also advised her to watch films as films and not take them too seriously to apply in real life with heavy logics.

But the question is, is there any need of giving so harsh response to her while she was only giving her opinion, asked a supporter of Annapurna. If cinema has to be looked like cinema, then is there any need to ban porn films? If Ali’s ‘Benz circle’ comment on actress Samantha in on a public stage is taken lightly, why not take a lady journalist’s eye-candy comment at a beautiful bureaucrat?

Our dignified TV anchors should not have responded harshly at that video.
