Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar is known for her gutsy attitude and sometimes, that attitude brings a lot of hate towards her in social media. But she always hits them back hard and shuts the trolls. Something similar happened the other day during the polls in Mumbai.

While the polls are going on in Mumbai the other day, a couple of people were seen holding placards saying “This election, Don’t be like Swara, Use your finger wisely.” This came in reference to the actress’ controversial masturbation scene in the film Veere Di Wedding.

The actress immediately fired back on them in her own style by tweeting, “Awwwwwww!!!!! My trolls are hard at work again, sweating it out in the heat to popularise my name.. You guys are SO dedicated & sweet!!! Don’t mind the slut-shaming guys.. their imagination is a bit limited.. but loving the effort you two.”

Swara Bhaskar, the popular Bollywood actor is often regarded as one of the controversial actors in the film industry. She is currently in the top form of the career. As she is vocal about several aspects in the film industry, she was recently seen attending a discussion about MeToo where she shared her experiences with two filmmakers that she worked with. Without naming them, she has shared her bitter experiences.

“Initially, a director tried to have a sexual relationship with me which I did not understand in the first place. He always tried to contact me in one or the other way. I tried to control myself and somehow it took six years for me to make sure I do not fall for him. Also, there was another director who tried to act funny with me for gaining sexual favors from me but I was right there giving him what he deserves.” said the actress.

Bollywood beauty Swara Bhaskar who recently appeared in Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is claiming that she fell in love with Prabhas after watching Baahubali.

Swara who haven’t done a single movie in Tollywood yet claimed that she watched movies like Nagarjuna’s ‘Shiva’, Venkatesh’s ‘Chanti’ etc. Recently, Swara Bhaskar visited Hyderabad to attend an event and also had a conversation with the media. “I watched ‘Baahubali’ 9 times and ‘Baahubali 2’ 8 times. My father is from Andhra. His native is Vizag. So, I also watched some Telugu movies whenever I went to Vizag during the summer vacation. I watched ‘Shiva’ and ‘Chanti’ movies” said Swara Bhaskar.

“I also want to act in Telugu movies. I am eagerly waiting for someone to bring a good script for me. So, in that way, I can make my father and my family members very happy” added Swara Bhaskar who also appeared in some popular web series.

Twitter India has officially deactivated the Twitter account of Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. This has come as a big shock to everyone. No one expected that Twitter would take the move.

The entire incident is in connection to the recent comments of Kerala MLA PC George. George made comments on the Kerala Nun that she was a prostitute. Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar responded to the incident and criticised the Kerala MLA. She said that the incident was a shameful act. Vivek Agnihotri responded to the same.

He replied her saying, “Where is the Placard #MeToo Prostitute Nun” Swara immediately responded that she is only supporting the rape victims and acknowledged that the women need support. She also gave a counter to Vivek saying that he is thinking in an ugly manner.

The netizens heavily criticized Vivek for his untimely tweets. He realized his mistake and removed his tweet. Immediately, Twitter also responded and deleted his account. Swara thanked Twitter for eliminating his account.

Sonam Kapoor is the heroine of the moment now. The actress scored good marks for her performance in the film Veere Di Wedding. She is all excited about the way the movie was received by the audience now. Meanwhile, the actress revealed her dream of directing a movie. Though Sonam has never revealed about this dream, it was Swara Bhaskar who acted with Sonam in Veere Di Wedding that revealed the dream of the recently married actress.

“Sonam Kapoor is clever. She narrated me a story recently and I am sure that she will become a good director. Her thoughts and her way of looking at the cinema is different. I am waiting for the day where she will wield the megaphone.” said Swara Bhaskar about Sonam’s interest in direction.

Swara Bhasker defended her co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan against a troll. Yes, going into details, Swara had tweeted a photograph of Kapoor Khan holding a placard asking for the justice for an eight-year-old girl who was raped and murdered in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.

A social media user commented on the picture saying: “[Kapoor Khan] should be ashamed of the fact that despite being a Hindu is married to a Muslim. Has a child with him and named him Taimur, after a brutal… barbarian.”

To this, Swara Bhasker replied: “You should be ashamed you exist. That God gave you a brain which you chose to fill with hate and a mouth you chose to spew filth from. You are a shame on India and Hindus. That [expletive] like you feel emboldened to talk this [expletive] publicly is this government’s legacy.”

Meanwhile, Veere Di Wedding is directed by Shashank Ghosh and also stars Sonam Kapoor and Shikha Talsania. It will release on June 1.

Swara Bhaskar said that the casting couch is not new in Bollywood and that sexual harassment is a universal phenomenon because fundamentally it is about power or rather the misuse of power.

In an interview, Swara revealed that when she was still fairly new to the industry, she was harassed by a film director during an outdoor shoot. She said, “he stalked me during the day and called me through the night. I was asked to go to his hotel room on the pretext of discussing the scene and would find him drinking. During the first week itself, he started talking about love and sex and one night, arrived in my room, drunk, and asked to be hugged. It was scary.”

She further added, “I was young and alone. I would switch off the lights after pack-up and remove my make up in the dark so he would think I was asleep and stop calling me.”

On the work front, Swara Bhaskar is currently filming Veere Di Wedding with Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Opening up further on her relationship, Swara said, “Yes, we are dating and are happy and committed. Now you know why Himanshu is my favorite dialogue writer.” On the work front, Swara Bhaskar will next be seen in Abbas Tyrewala’s film Mango.
