From the past few days, it is being reported that a biopic is being made on Christian evangelist turned politician, KA Paul. Popular comedian Sunil will be playing the lead role in it. Paul is known for his comical statements and stunts in the arena of politics. He is also the founder of Praja Shanti Party.

Meanwhile, a debutant will be directing this movie while a top production house will be bankrolling it. We hear that Sunil is now in the US to undergo a few makeup tests to attain the look of KA Paul. Apparently, Hollywood makeup artists are working on the look of Sunil in this film.

According to the sources, there will be characters of American president Donald Trump, North Korea President Kim Jong Yun and Actress Angelina Jolie in this movie. Their lookalikes will be donning the roles of them in this comic caper. More details about this movie are expected to be announced soon.

Actors Sunil and Allari Naresh have got huge fame for their comic roles in the film industry. With lack of proper success, their careers are going through a lean phase now. Story

Ullas Kumar (Sunil) is a guy who lives on the money of others in his own place. He borrows money and hide from them when they come to collect. Laya (Manisha Raj) is a childhood friend of him. She lives in US and she returns to India. Both get introduced again and they both get married after series of incidents. After the marriage Laya goes to US and start avoiding Ullas Kumar. He goes to US to know the actual reason of her to do so and bring her back convincing her. When he reach US, he gets to know some bitter truths. Rest of the story is about those bitter truths and how he managed to change Laya into her wife again.

Cast and Performance

Sunil as Ullas Kumar is good. He tried to bring laughter in audience but failed. As a husband who is pained by some harsh truth, he is good in those emotional sequences. Manisha Raj as Laya is good. She as an alcohol addict managed to play her character well. Shayaji Shinde is good but in a briefSunil.Naresh and Raja Raveendra are fine. Prudhvi is humorous so as Srinivasa Reddy. Jabardasth comedians did a fine job and all other actors are okay.

Writing Department

Story of 2 Countries is routine and the screenplay is badly written which fails to engage audience and dialogues are just okay.

Technical Departments

Two Countries movie songs , which are composed by Gopi Sunder and he managed to give two good songs in the album. He did fine job in scoring background score.

Cinematography by C Ram Prasad is good and he shot some good visuals. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is okay as he could have chopped out few sequences out of the movie. Production values are rich.

2 Countries is a movie about a useless guy who becomes a responsible husband to cure her alcohol addiction. She always misunderstand everything he is done to her and he never gives up with that and try to change her. Director N Shankar, who is also the producer of this movie failed in making this movie an entertaining ride. The first and foremost reason for his failure is bad writing which fails to engage audience or make audience laugh. Having someone who can make audience laugh so easily, N Shankar failed to bank on that aspect of Sunil. Sunil, who is fading, should have okayed a better script with better director to score a decent hit. His desperation to score a hit resulted in this movie and it backfired. Director has failed to get good writing which in turn spoiled actors performance and which in turn made the whole work of team look silly. To sum up, 2 Countries is another failure to Sunil.

Hero Sunil’s latest outing Ungarala Rambabu opened to good response. The hilarious message oriented flick grossed Rs 3.60 crores worldwide on its opening 2 days. Seems like, this movie is going to be a sleeper hit like Sunil’s previous film Jakkanna which also raked good numbers on first 2 days.

As per trade pundits, Ungarala Rambabu is making strong business compared to all other films released on that day. Since the film has all required elements, family audiences are enjoying it to the core. While first half of the movie is hilarious, director Kranthi Madhav depicted a strong message in second half.

Prakash Raj’s character is one of the biggest assets of the film. Response is humongous for few comedy bits of Sunil, Vennela Kishore and intensified sequences of Prakash Raj. Those who watched the film are very much pleased with pre-climax episode where Sunil describes significance of farmers to our country.

Overall, Ungarala Rambabu is winning the hearts of all section of audiences and it is set to become a true hit.

Story

Ram Babu, a happy-go-lucky person, who grew from rags to riches on his own with luck. His mentor suggests him to marry a girl born in a particular zodiac and star to better his condition when he is incurring losses in business. While he is searching for one, he finds his lady luck in Savitri (Miya George), who joins in his travel office as manager. He tries to woo Savitri, who shows interest in him, but she asks him to convince her father Ranga (Prakash Raj), a communist leader in Kerala to take their relationship to next level. How he does it to get his lady luck forms the crux of the story of Ungarala Rambabu.

Cast and Performance

Sunil as Rambabu is good. He is at ease in his comedy timing and his dance moves. He did his best to keep up audience entertained whenever possible in the movie. Mia George is good as Savitri, who joins as an employee in Sunil’s office and eventually becomes his partner of life. She looks gorgeous. Posani Krishnamurali as Baadam Baba is humorous. Prakash Raj as communist leader Ranga is good as usual and he did full justice to the role he is given. All other actors did their best in the roles they are given.

Writing Department

Story of this Ungarala Rambabu is simple and the theme the story conveyed is beautiful. Screenplay is good in first half and is a disappointment in the second half. Dialogues are good.

Technical Departments

Songs composed by Ghibran are okay. They are shot well. His background score is good and helped the movie reach next level in certain sequences. Cinematography by Sarvesh Murari is good and he has shot some nice visuals. Editing could have been much better and it faults the second half. Art department did a nice job and production values are rich.

Ungarala Rambabu is all about meeting of capitalist and communist as said by director Kranthi Madhav in his promotional interviews. Rambabu, a businessman who falls for an employee in his travel agency meets her father a communist leader in Kerala to get married with her daughter. The first half of the movie is good and entertaining and when it shifts to Kerala in second half the screenplay loses grip and the communal scenes depicted becomes boring and this half tests the patience of the audience. After all this test of patience there comes a happy ending. Director Kranthi Madhav who scored a blockbuster with his previous movie could have focussed more on story and its screenplay to get audience hooked throughout the movie. To sum up, Ungarala Rambabu is another disappointment in the career of Sunil who is waiting for a decent hit.
