The biopics season s going on in Indian cinema over the past few years. While most of them are minting a good amount of money at the box office, there are also films which became disasters at the box office. Now, a biopic is being made on the soft porn actress Shakeela, who was a sensation in South India during the 1980s.

Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, this film is titled as Shakeela. Bollywood actress Richa Chadda is the lead actress in it. The shoot is now completed and the film is in the post-production stages. Meanwhile, the makers are planning to release two different versions of the film, an Indian cut, and an International cut.

The International cut will be shorter than the Indian one without any songs and dances. It is to appeal to the foreign audience. Ballu Saluja, who edited Dangal and Lagaan, will cut the International version of Shakeela. The film is slated to release in August in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Once upon a time, Shakila is one of the top heroines in Malayalam film industry and she acted with all the star heroes of the industry. Now, she is very inactive in the films but aimed to come up with a new film. Currently, she is gearing up for the 250th film. After acting in 249 films, she has come up with a multilingual project for her 250th and fixed Seelavathi as the title for the movie. The movie is denied permission from the censor board.

Shakila has opened up about the same and revealed that her film failed to get a censor certificate. She said that the censor board members did not watch the film and have started telling objections. She felt that Seelavathi is the correct title for her movie and added that she will get support from the audiences.

Malayalam actress Shakeela is all set to start her second innings in Tollywood with Sampoornesh Babu’s upcoming film Kobbari Matta. She will be donning a crucial role in Sampoo’s film.

Shakeela’s look has been revealed recently where renowned critic Mahesh Kathi is also shared screen space combination scene with the one and only evergreen sex goddess of all times, Shakeela.

Kobbari Matta is directed by Rupak Ronaldson, and Sai Rajesh is producing the film on Amrutha Productions banner with Steven Shankar as the presenter. Sampoornesh Babu will be seen in triple roles as Paparayudu, Pedarayudu and Androidu.

In recent times, Shakila has acted in films like Gabbar Singh Gang, Romantic Target and the now the actress is roped in a full fledged role in this satirical comedy film.

This upcoming film “Romantic Target” will have the style of Shakila, apart from having a very good story. Censor board rating has to define the real style of this flick. Shakeela is planning to make this flick as a family entertainer apart from targeting youngsters. Lets see how it goes!
