Tamil director Sundar C is currently planning a big budgeted flick titled as Sangamithra. The film that was announced 2 years back is yet to hit the floors. Earlier, the film was planned with Shruthi Hassan in the lead role but later Disha Patani stepped into the project to play the lead.

As per the latest update, we have come to know that the film’s shoot is going to start from the August. Jayam Ravi, Arya, Disha Patani and others are the part of the film. AR Rahman is the music director of the film. Sabu Cyril is working as production designer. Thenandal studios are the production house that is working on the project with a budget of 400 cr. The film is going to be the biggest and costliest project in the south.

After Shruti Haasan has walked out of ‘Sangamithra’ due to the clash of schedules, the makers of upcoming high budget film ‘Sangamithra’ that is speculated to be made on around Rs 400 crore budget, are breaking their heads to find a replacement.

To mitigate their burden, the makers decided to halt the project. However, an official confirmation is yet to be received from the makers.

It is heard that the film’s director Sundar is making plans to direct another movie in the mean time. It is learnt that he may direct sequel of one of his blockbuster films.

The director Sunder has planned a mighty movie with a budget of Rs 400 crores called “Sanghamitra” starring Shruti Haasan, Jayam Ravi, and Arya. Shockingly Shruti’s sudden exit has halted this project. Let us find out what really what happened.

Launched at the prestigious Cannes film festival, the flick Sanghamitra is temporarily stopped due to the lead actress Shruti’s exit. She claimed that she herself came out of the project due to her differences with the makers. Now the production house of this movie has stated a different reason. According to them, it is not Shruti Haasan who went out of the project. It is the producer’s choice to send her out of this project as they are not in good terms with her. Makers claim that she was not in sync with them and moreover, she used to respond late to their calls and failed to attend the story settings. As a result, they have sacked her out of the project.

Now the director is in the search of new female lead. They are rumored to be in talks with the star actress Nayanatara.

Anushka and Shruti Hasan are the only two open options before South Indian filmmakers when one has to try a script in socio-fantasy or historical genres. While Anushka continues to grab the opportunities with both hands delivering milestone flicks like Arundhathi, Rudhramadevi, Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2, here is Shruti Hasan showing her incompetence and clearly lost the battle to Sweety.

It is learnt that Shruti Hassan gave up the offer of Sanghamitra in Sundar C direction involved with 350+ Crores budget just because she felt the preparatory training part so hectic and not her cup of tea. Horse riding, sword fighting, and expertise in martial arts are mandatory skills for Shruti to get into the skin of Sanghamitra.

As days progressed with this rigorous and physically pummeling pedagogic teaching part, Shruti understood a bit late that doing glamorous roles with simple songs running around the hero is easier than believing in grand and time taking projects like Sanghamitra. All is well. Shruti informed the producers directly on her helplessness and gave a middle drop.

One requires huge guts and unmoved commitment, dedication to hold with a project for years together. Shruti opted out from Sanghamitra project.

As per the latest reports, the makers are planning to rope in Anushka in the women-centric film. Initially, the names like Deepika Padukone are heard. But nothing has been confirmed so far.

The makers of Sanghamitra are currently busy with the promotions of the film at Cannes International Film Festival. The film unit did not begin the shoot yet, but they are planning to promote it in a nice manner as they got the opportunity to utilize the Cannes platform.

Now, the latest buzz is that Sunder C is the director behind the project making the film with a budget of 150 crores. Thendral Films is the production house backing up the project. Arya, Jayam Ravi, and Shruti Haasan are playing the lead roles in the film. Shruti Haasan is going to be seen as a warrior princess in the film and her look from the film has been launched yesterday.

Tamil film industry is now gearing up for a Baahubali kind of project. Shruti Haasan piled on a few kilos to play a feisty small town Punjabi girl in Behen Hogi Teri. The film, also starring Rajkummar Rao, is set to release on June 2.

Speaking about the issue, Shruthi said, “I think every character requires a certain look and vibe for it to be as real as possible. Given the family and background that Binny Arora was from, she needed to be slightly fuller, and that’s why I had to gain the weight.”

Shruthi, who will soon begin work on her next film Sanghamitra, is back to her fit self. She further added that “Thankfully it paid off given the amazing response our trailer got. Soon after the film shoot, I got back to my intense workout regime and made sure I lost all that weight and then some, especially since I was going to start my combat training prep for Sangamithra”.

A South Indian film, which is bigger than Baahubali and Robo 2.0 is on its way in the near future. According to latest reports, Tamil filmmaker Sundar C planned a high-budget historical drama tentatively titled as Sanghamitra. This epic drama will be shot in 11 Countries including India, USA, Denmark, Ukraine, and Iran. Never been before, An Indian Film was shot in as many countries.

The film will be produced by Sri Thenandal Films. Suriya, Vijay, and Mahesh Babu are the main lead role in the film. The music will be scored by AR Rahman, and Sudeep Chatterjee will crank Camera. Sabu Cyril will be the Art Director, and Kanal Kannan is the VFX Supervisor.

The script work has been completed recently and the makers have yet to finalize the lead cast. Sanghamitra is a tri-lingual flick (Telugu, Tamil & Hindi) with cost of production anywhere close to Rs 350 crore.
