Samantha Ruth Prabhu is busier than ever and not just that, she is looking for diversity in her roles too or so it would seem if you look at her new avatar in the highly anticipated Suriya starrer Anjaan.

Samantha is confidently sporting short shorts and fashionable tops in the posters and in the songs. The fans of the lovely starlet are just thrilled of course but many are curious.. Why the sudden change in appearance? After all, it is not like the gorgeous girl is lacking projects, calling out for a dramatic makeover!
Well, Samantha has an answer for you…

“I wanted to prove a point,” the glamour doll, “I wanted to show that I can be as confident in glamorous outfits as I am in the usual more traditional appearance I sport.”

And by God, prove her point she did, didn’t she?

The new Samantha has everyone talking and one gets the feeling, she has a lot to do with Anjaan’s tickets being sold out for the first day, soon after the pre booking opened up.

Will this new incarnation of the stunning diva be a permanent one? Will we be seeing a lot more of her sizzling the screens in such fashionable attire? Sadly… no!

Samantha says she will be back to her familiar self soon enough, with the rest of her projects. Well, there is not much grounds for disappointment now, is there?

Because whatever she chooses to wear, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is just a sight for sore eyes.

Anjaan releases in two days on August 15th, and the Telugu dubbed version Sikander will come out a few days later. The film has been directed and produced by N Lingusamy under the banner of Thiruppathi Brothers, in association with UTV Motion Pictures.

With back to back monsterous hits at the box office in the form of ‘Dookudu’, ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimale Chettu’, ‘Eega’ and ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, we can easily call Samantha as ‘The Box Office Queen’!

And with ‘Manam’ joining the list of these power hits, we are sure Samantha is quite living up to the above name given to her.

Samantha is currently shooting for ‘Rabhasa’ opposite Jr. NTR.

She also has a slew of Tamil and Malayalam movies lined up for release this year.

Well, given her golden run at the box office, we are sure that her upcoming movies would also send the producers smiling all the way to the bank!

Samantha’s performance in the movie Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu staring again with Nani is considered to be the best in her career though the movie did average business. The movie was also released in Tamil and got her a Filmfare award. Samantha was seen as a rich girl in this movie and she was very gorgeous with looks and natural in dressing. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu caused an angry stir among Mahesh Babu fans and her own fans by tweeting remarks against the Star’s yet to be released film poster – 1 Nenokkadine. The actress stated “Saw a poster of a yet to be released Telugu film. Not only is it deeply regressive, but its point is actually that it is deeply regressive”, hinting at the newly released poster showing actress Kriti Sanon crawling behind Mahesh and the hero looking at her with indifference.

Even though Sam tried to make a logical conclusion, the fans of Mahesh Babu jumped immediately on twitter, posting hate messages on Samantha and Siddharth, with hashtags #GetLostSamanthaandSiddharth. This was greatly disturbing as the hate tweets went viral and spammed the search on actress Samantha.

Siddharth, who was never involved but was forcefully dragged into the mess, retaliated – “Its a powerful tool Twitter, but only if it is not destroyed by ugly, hateful, false, gangster confidence. Too much of that going around”.

While most boycotted her tweet, there were few groups who admired her gutsy move, being neutral and speaking her mind. The lady is now ready to answer any questions on the topic, as to why she thinks the content looks ‘regressive’.

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has put a victorious end to the rumors circulating on her health off late, is now on a continuous shooting spree. Having a dozen projects lined up in Tamil and few in Telugu, Sam will surely be off the grid next year in Tollywood. Recently she flew to Japan to shoot for V Vinayak‘s untitled project that stars Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas.

The cute lass was all excited about her trip to the Land of Rising Sun and tweeted all about it – “And to japan on Monday to meet my second most favorite ppl in the world, the Japanese. To the land of cherry blossoms and sushi… Yayyyy”

The film is produced by Suresh Bellamkonda and cinematography is by Chota K Naidu. DSP will be composing music for this film.
