With the encouragement of her husband, Genelia has successfully made a comeback to the silver screen with a Marathi film Mauli in which she played a cameo role. Apparently, Genelia is very much happy with this and posted the same on the social media.

Riteish Deshmukh is an Indian film actor, producer, and architect. He is known for his work in Hindi and Marathi cinema. He is the son of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra late Vilasrao Deshmukh. He married popular heroine Genelia. Now, following the footsteps of his father, Riteish wanted to make his entry into the political arena.

Apparently, the young actor is mulling out plans to contest elections from Latur constituency which is his hometown. Riteish is planning to contest for Lok Sabha 2019 elections from Congress party. His political entry will certainly change the calculations in his constituency.

On the film front, he is working on Total Dhamaal with Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, and Ajay Devgn. The regular shoot is in progress.

Riteish Deshmukh is the latest talk in the town. The film actor has been enjoying his most recent release Banjo. Meanwhile, the actor along with taking up acting assignments is going to act as a co-producer for two upcoming Marathi films. On the other side, the actor seriously wanted to turn a solo producer for one more Marathi film. Being a busy actor, he is failing to look after everything but his wife Genelia who is a popular actress is ready to look after the production activities. Genelia who acted in many South films has ben showing interest in production activities.

Riteish recently revealed the news and said that Genelia is the producer for an upcoming Marathi film coming from their home production. It will be good if she ventures into South and produces a couple of interesting films. More details will be revealed soon.

It’s disappointing especially when you have a National Award filmmaker making a film that is so clichéd to say the least. Banjo is directed by the Marathi films acclaimed director Ravi Jadhav.

The movie starts with a dedication to all the street musicians followed by a Vijay Raaz giving a voice-over for the lead characters. Chris (Nargis Fakri) is a musician in New York. She hears a banjo-based tune sent by her recordist friend in India. He records this tune during a Ganpati Bappa procession. Chris is impressed and is desperate to collaborate with those Banjo musicians for music competition. She comes to India in search of them. The band she is in search of, is not a band, but a bunch of needy part-timers who play music to make some extra bucks. Taarat (Ritiesh Deshmukh) is the lead among the bunch. Chris meets Taarat under different circumstances but she doesn’t know that he is the one she she’s looking for. At the same time, Taarat also doesn’t let her know that he is a Banjo-player as the instrument doesn’t attract any respect. The rest of the film is about how Chris and this Banjo group together make it big, and the impediments.

The movie is primarily based on music and all the tunes plus the background score music sucked big time in the film. The tracks are not even remotely decent. Vishal and Shekar having given some biggest hits in the last many years, haven’t given a single good track for the genre the movie is based upon. Banjo instrument is used in the theme song which comes excessively and it echoes irritatingly in your ears even after you come out of the hall.

The movie takes itself very casually. There can be so much intensity added to the story, but the movie tries to be funny, peppy and easy-going. The jokes are hardly funny. The dialogues and the moments are very clichéd. For eg,g Nargis Fakri starts walking in tiny shorts in a slum, and all the people on the road enter into a slow motion word and messing up whatever they are currently upto. Haven’t we seen this umpteen number of times? The complete film is mostly filled with such mundane moments.

Performances wise, there is hardly anything to talk about sparing the guy who plays the local politician. He was spot on. Ritiesh Deshmukh was hardly engaging and Fakri was hopeless.

The writing could have had more depth. It’s so superficial and you are extremely bored with the characters.

Overall, Banjo is a very bad film and stands amongst the worst screenplays.

It seems troubles are not stopping for Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Urvashi Rautela starrer Great Grand Masti. After the film had been leaked online, the makers of the film decided to reschedule the release of the film from July 22 to July 15. Well, now when the film is all set to release tomorrow, another controversy has hit the film.

A day before the release, Shiney Ahuja has filed a case against the film for naming a character after him. Based on a report, which said a maid in the film is called Shiney, the actor has filed the case, and the same character in the film has been played by Sonali Raut.

Reports also suggest that Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, and Riteish Deshmukh get funny with the maid Shiney (Sonali Raut) in one of the scenes from the film, which has apparently not gone well with Shiney Ahuja. So, Shiny has asked the makers of the film to delete the scene with a written apology.

Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani-starrer “Great Grand Masti” is supposed to hit screens on July 22, almost 17 days from now. But like Udta Punjab, the prints of the film have already been leaked online, weeks ahead of its release. This film which has been leaked is the third part in the Masti series, where the last part is the only adult film to ever make it to the 100 Cr club mark.

As for the reports, A censored copy of the Adult-Comedy film “Great Grand Masti” has been leaked online two weeks before its scheduled theatrical release. The censor copy of the complete 2 hours 14 minutes movie was leaked online on Monday in piracy sites, and the movie print has censor board copy written on it reportedly. Unlike Udta Punjab, Great Grand Masti has no use politically or doesn’t have big stars attached to it, so no one is bothered to express similar concerns.

Talented actor Riteish Deshmukh’s upcoming film ‘Bangistan’, which is slated for worldwide release, tomorrow, is banned by the UAE Censor Board, which found the content as offensive. They have reportedly raised an objection to the release of the film. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed this news and said that they will send it to the re-examining committee.

Directed by Karan Anshuman, Bangistan also features Pulkit Samrat and Jacqueline Fernandez. It was mostly shot in Poland and Ladakh and it is about two suicide bombers, Allah Rakha Khan Praveen Chaturvedi (Pulkit) and Hafeez Bin Ali Ishwarchand Sharma (Riteish), who are brainwashed to go on an explosive mission. Released trailer and teasers have already got much attention. Rap video performed on Osama and Saddam has also got good response.

The first poster of Ek Villain starring Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor created enough buzz – a hot steamy first look showing Sidharth all bulked up looking sexy and Shraddha with the usual glamour; the first trailer of Ek Villain is now out and is creating more excitement.

The trailer shows Sidharth Malhotra like never before – in a villainous and hideous avatar.
