Rana Daggubati is one of the talented actors who is currently busy with a bunch of projects. Even though a lot of actors tested their luck as reel politicians in the industry, only a few became successful and Rana is one among them.

Rana made his debut with the film Leader in which he played the chief minister of a state. The film is a massive hit in the Telugu states and has given the much-needed break for the actor in the industry. After a long gap, Rana came up with the film Nene Raju Nene Mantri which also ended up being a good film. Rana played an MLA in the movie. People liked him in the movie and Rana immediately accepted to do Chandra Babu Naidu role in NTR. It was also received well by the audiences.

Now, the buzz is that Rana is going to be seen as politician again in his upcoming film Virataparvam 1992. Venu Udugula is the director of the film. Rana will be seen as Panchayat Raj ward member in the movie.

In this Teja-directed political drama, Rana will play a ruthless and fearless politician. Talking about the film, Rana said that it’s going to be compelling and thought-provoking, and it’s being made by Teja with sheer brilliance. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Catherine Tresa as the two leading ladies, while Ashutosh Rana will be seen playing the antagonist.

As per the latest reports, the highlight and major asset of the film is said to be an engaging climax. It is heard that during the climax, the court decides to hang. How Rana escapes from hanging and how he proves himself in front of the court is the major aspect of the film.

Teja had been waiting for nearly two years to make this project with Rana, who was busy juggling between Baahubali and other commitments in the last few years. It is believed that Catherine plays a character with negative shades in the film. Being produced by Suresh Babu, the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam.
