King Nagarjuna is currently is occupied with the release of his latest film Manmadhudu 2 and also with his TV stint Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3. Meanwhile, he will be celebrating his 60th birthday on the 29th of this month and his family members are planning to make it a special one for him.

According to the latest buzz, Nag’s sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil are planning to celebrate Nag’s birthday in the city of Ibiza located in Spain. The whole Akkineni family accompanied by a few close family friends are expected to attend this grand birthday bash.

Everyone will leave for the exotic city a few days before the birthday. Meanwhile, Manmadhudu 2 which was released yesterday, got a mixed response from the audience and its fate will be decided after this first weekend.

King Nagarjuna recently made his comeback on Television with the popular reality show Bigg Boss. Now, he is prepping up for his arrival on the big screen with his upcoming movie Manmadhudu 2. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, this romantic comedy features Rakul Preet as the female lead.

The post-production works of the film are currently going on and the pre-release business is going on in full swing. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, one of the top channels, Star Maa bagged the satellite rights of this film for a whopping amount of Rs. 8.3 crores.

Already, the digital and Hindi dubbing rights of the movie were sold for about Rs. 7 crores and Rs.6.1 crores respectively. In that way, Manmadhudu 2 got around Rs. 22 crores by these rights itself. Let’s see how it performs at the theatres when it hits the screens on the 9th of August.

Very recently, Nagarjuna Akkineni denied the rumors about the biopic on his father ANR. Nagarjuna said that there is no drama in his father’s life and hence, a biopic is not really necessary. But, Naga Chaitanya, in a recent interview told that he wanted to see a biopic based on the life of his grandfather.

“It was a happy moment for me to be a part of Mahanati and playing my grandfather ANR on the screen. But, in fact, it is certainly difficult and challenging to act in his biopic. But, I wish to see his biopic shaping up some day.” said Naga Chaitanya in a recent interview.

On the works front, the young hero is busy with the films Savyasachi and Sailaja Reddy Alludu releases.

Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is one of the most interesting sequels in the recent times. The first part of the film titled as Raju Gari Gadhi became a big hit. Ohmkar is the director of the film and this second part of the film is the official remake of the Malayalam super hit film Pretham. Nagarjuna Akkineni is the surprise package of the film as he plays a very important role in the film. The film also stars Samantha and Seerat Kapoor in the lead roles. Samantha is going to be seen as a ghost in the film.

The makers are very much happy with the way the things are progressing and they have announced the release date now. The film that was supposed to hit the theaters sometime back and now it is going to release on October 13th.

Basking in the success of Soggade Chinni Nayana, senior hero Akkineni Nagarjuna has today casted his vote in GHMC elections along with his wife, Amala.

On the occasion, Nagarjuna has appealed to every citizen to utilize their vote right to choose the best leader. When questioned about his sons, Nagarjuna said that his elder son Naga Chaitanya will cast his vote in Gachibowli, but his younger son Akhil will not be voting.

When questioned why Nag said that Akhil’s name is not yet registered in voters’ list.

Why is the 21-year-old Akhil not registered as a voter? Akhil was born in San Jose, California, the United States so he has double citizenship with India and the USA. The young hero is yet to apply for Voter ID in Hyderabad.

So is the case with Akhil Akkineni who shot to fame with his family’s magnum opus,”Manam”.

Akhil who was seen only in a 30-sec cameo in the film starring his entire clan,has impressed a lot of people! Also, post his appearance in the movie, rumours about his debut film have started doing the rounds.

Earlier, it was reported that, Nagarjuna, happy with the way “Manam” was executed, had signed on Vikram Kumar again to direct his son’s debut film. However, those were later stated to be mere rumours and that buzz eventually fizzled out.

In other news, Alia Bhatt has been reportedly approached to play the lead opposite in Akhil Akkineni debut movie.

A source close to the actor says,” Yes. Alia’s name is definitely being considered for the film. But it is too early to confirm anything. The film’s theme and the crew that will be working on it, hasn’t been finalised either.”

Meawhile, his father Akkineni Nagarjuna says, “Akhil is yet to prove himself. His acting talent and screen presence is what everyone should wait and watch. I’m touched by the compliments he is being showered with. Some are calling him as a competition ot Naga Chaitanya. However, he has a long way to go. If anything else, I’m his biggest competition.”

Nagarjuna also revealed that he’ll be the producer for Akhil’s debut film.

Akhil, on the other hand, is riding high on the praises showered on him by Super star Mahesh Babu. Well, frankly speaking, Akhil does have it in him to make it big in Tollywood!
