Akkineni Nagarjuna is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Manmadhudu 2. The film’s theatrical trailer was launched the other day and got a good response from the audience. The film is directed by popular actor Rahul Ravindran. This is his second directorial film.

Rahul’s maiden film as a director was Chi.La.Sow. Apparently, Nag gave him the chance of Manmadhudu 2 after watching Rahul’s work in Chi.La.Sow. It seems that the actor was even more impressed with Rahul while both started traveling together for this movie and decided to give him another chance.

According to the buzz, Nag is planning to make a multistarrer film with his sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil as the leads and Rahul as the director. King Nagarjuna recently made his comeback on Television with the popular reality show Bigg Boss. Now, he is prepping up for his arrival on the big screen with his upcoming movie Manmadhudu 2. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, this romantic comedy features Rakul Preet as the female lead.

The post-production works of the film are currently going on and the pre-release business is going on in full swing. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, one of the top channels, Star Maa bagged the satellite rights of this film for a whopping amount of Rs. 8.3 crores.

Already, the digital and Hindi dubbing rights of the movie were sold for about Rs. 7 crores and Rs.6.1 crores respectively. In that way, Manmadhudu 2 got around Rs. 22 crores by these rights itself. Let’s see how it performs at the theatres when it hits the screens on the 9th of August.
