Former actress Laya is one of the few Telugu heroines who made it big in the industry. But after getting married, Laya left to the United States leaving behind her acting career. After a long time, she was seen in a brief role in Ravi Teja’s film Amar Akbar Anthony.

She was seen as the heroine’s mother during her childhood days in the film. But unfortunately, the film remained as a box office disaster. In a recent interview, Laya stated that she was offered a role in NTR’s film Aravinda Sametha as well. But the actress politely rejected the offer.

She said,” I feel I am too young to play mother roles at this point of time. Thus, I am not signing any sister, mother or sister-in-law role. I miss acting though. I will definitely do a film if the script meets all my requirement.”

Actress Laya is currently very much excited about her comeback to Telugu film industry. The actress was initially approached to play a key role in Trivikram Srinivas next film with Jr NTR but the actress denied the offer as she has to travel back to India.

The interesting update reveals that she gave a nod to be a part of Ravi Teja’s next film in the direction of Srinu Vaitla. The film is titled as Amar Akbar Antony. Laya was last seen in the film Yama Lokham to Brahma Lokham and now she is going to be seen as heroine Anu Emanuel’s mother in the movie.
