Rana Daggbati has occupied with multiple projects already and we have come to know about his new movie. The film is apparently titled Hiranyakasipa. Gunasekhar is the director of the project. Gunasekhar revealed this soon after the release of Rudhramadevi itself. He is game for another historic period drama.

The latest buzz on the project is that the pre-production work is happening at a rapid pace. The makers are estimating to invest 180 crores for the making of the movie. Suresh Babu might involve in the film’s production.

Popular art designer Mukesh Singh is working on Indralokam and Vaikuntham sets. The film is going to be a grand visual treat. The makers are planning to begin the shoot from the beginning of 2019.

After directing a historical biopic of Kakatiya ruler ‘Rudhrama Devi’, Gunasekhar is now all set to direct a mythological movie. He earlier announced to make sequel to ‘Rudhrama Devi’ but he has postponed it to 2018. It is heard that this project spilled some interesting info.

Gunasekhar narrated the story of King Hiranyakashipa to Rana and he will be playing the cruel king who gets killed in the hands of Lord Vishnu who bears Narasimha avatar to kill him. As per reports, the film will go on floors.

It is heard that the pre-production is almost nearing an end. Touted to be a 150 crore budgeted VFX extravaganza that will be shot in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, Rana’s presence is bringing many Bollywood companies as co-producers to Gunasekhar.

Director Guna Sekhar, who is one of the very few directors in Tollywood to have the audacity to make high budget epics, has surprised everyone by announcing his next project ‘Hiranyakashipa.’

In fact, after making the biopic of ‘Rudramadevi’, Guna had earlier announced his plans of making a film on the last notable Kakatiya ruler, Prataparudrudu. However, he seems to have changed his mind after the not so encouraging performance of Rudramadevi. Guna has recently revealed that he has started the scripting of Hiranyakashipa.

It is heard that Guna is planning to rope in one among Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, and NTR to essay the titular role. He has three choices, but his first option is said to be NTR. If the Nandamuri hero agrees then pooling resources would become very easy for Guna.

However, going by how cautious NTR has become after the success of Janatha Garage, it would be a herculean task for Guna to convince NTR. Getting his dates would require another monumental effort.

Noted filmmaker Gunasekhar, who has made the historical biopic of ‘Rudramadevi’ in his previous attempt, has earlier announced that he would direct the story of Rudramadevi’s grandson Prathaparudrudu is his next project. However, Guna seems to have changed his mind now.

Instead of a historical film, he has decided to make a mythological film. The director is reportedly planning to direct a film ‘Hiranyakashipa’, based on the story of Bhakta Prahlada. Interestingly, instead of naming the film after Prahlada, he chose to title the project after Prahlada’s father ‘Hiranyakashipa’.

Reliable sources have divulged that the title was recently registered at Film Chamber on Gunaa Team Works banner. He is currently in talks with a big Tamil star to play the role of Hiranyakashipa. His keenness to rope in a Tamil hero is to make the film saleable in Telugu as well as Tamil states.

The role of Prahlada will be essayed by a child artiste.
