‘Powerstar’ Pawan Kalyan has been busy with the ongoing elections of the state and central for the last couple of months, campaigning and going into the people. Now that Andhra Pradesh elections are wind-up he returned for a break.

As soon as he returned, he wanted to catch a movie as a break and called his nephew Sai Dharam Tej to show his latest feature ‘Chitralahari’. The film revolves about the journey of a guy who tastes nothing but bad luck. The movie was released last weekend and received a divided talk, although the dialogues and performances were appreciated. After watching the film, even Pawan Kalyan felt the same and appreciated Kishore Tirumala for his work. He was keen on Dharam’s performance and body language in the film but appreciated his choice of choosing such a sensible subject.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gully Boy’ movie became a blockbuster in Bollywood. The movie has done exceptionally well at the box office. Rumors came out that Geetha Arts have got the Telugu remake rights of the film.

So many rumors popped up that Sai Dharam Tej is going to play the lead in the remake version of the film. But, recently during the promotions of his upcoming movie ‘Chitralahari’, Sai Dharam Tej has reacted on this. He stated that he hasn’t watched ‘Gully Boy’ movie yet and cleared the air by stating that there is no truth in the rumors. He has clarified that he is not going to star in the Telugu remake of ‘Gully Boy’. On the other hand, touted to be a romantic entertainer, ‘Chitralahari’ featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivetha Pethuraj as female leads is slated to hit the screens on April 12th, 2019.

Kishore Tirumala is helming this project. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling this project and Sai Dharam Tej has pinned all his hopes on this movie.

Slowly but finally, mega heroes went in support of their family member Pawan Kalyan, who is contesting for the first time in elections on behalf of his party, Janasena. Varun Tej campaigned for his father Nagababu and uncle for a few days. Allu Arjun not only released a statement that his support will always be with Pawan and Nagababu but also went and participated in a meeting with Pawan at Palakollu.

Ram Charan failed to join the bandwagon but tried his best to promote Janasena. Ram Charan initially wanted to campaign in key constituencies like Gajuwaka, Bheemavaram, Pendurthy and Narasapuram but Pawan asked Charan to take rest.

Since all the mega heroes occupied themselves with the election heat, another mega hero Sai Dharam is now planning to organise a special screening of the film Chitralahari for all the heroes as it is slated for a release today. He might send invites to entire mega family to make sure they relax themselves.

Post-Supreme, hero Sai Dharam Tej didn’t have a single hit in his kitty. Though the actor made a handful of films after that movie, he couldn’t score a single hit. Slowly, his market value in the industry also started getting lower. Thus, he is now planning to make a solid comeback.

At first, he will test his luck with Kishore Tirumala directorial Chitralahari. Touted to be a love story, this film features Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivetha Pethuraj as the female leads. According to the latest grapevine, he also signed his next under the direction of Maruti.

The news is circulating in the industry for a long time but till now, Tej didn’t sign the project. It seems that he signed it officially a few days back. Maruti was also set back with the failure of Sailaja Reddy Alludu and looking to score a hit with his next. The official announcement about this project is expected to be out soon.

Director Priyadarshan’s daughter Kalyani Priyadarshan made her debut in films with the movie Hello, co-starring Akhil Akkineni. Unfortunately, the film didn’t do well at the box office but that didn’t stop Kalyani from getting offers. In fact, she is currently busy with more than five projects in hand.

In Telugu, she is currently acting in Sai Dharam Tej’s Chitralahari, which is being directed by Kishore Tirumala and an untitled film starring Sharwanand and is directed by Sudheer Varma. Apart from this, she is set to make her debut in Tamil with Siva Karthikeyan’s next film which will be directed by PS Mithran of Abhimanyudu fame.

The actress is also doing a film with Dulqer Salmaan and a key role in her father Priyadhan’s directorial Marrakkar. Thus, Kalyani, despite scoring a flop with her debut film, is busy with too many projects in various languages.

Mega Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej is currently busy working on his next film Chitralahari. The film is directed by Kishore Tirumala and there is a lot of interesting buzz around the film. Interestingly, his film is said to be based on Pawan Kalyan movies.

Sai Dharam Tej is said to be seen as a middle-class guy in this present film and the movie is said to be highly inspired by the films Toli Prema and Thammudu. Sai Dharam’s role is said to be inspired by the lead characters played by Pawan Kalyan in both the films. Also, there are some important father-son sentiment scenes in Chitralahari which is also inspired by the other two movies.
