Star hero Karthi is popular for many movies in Telugu. Almost all his films were dubbed in Telugu and ended up as reasonable hits. Karthi enjoys equal popularity in Telugu with his brother Suriya. Many at times, the actor opened up about doing a straight Telugu film but he is constantly getting occupied with Tamil projects. He made his debut with the film Oopiri which was bilingual. After the success of Oopiri, Karthi was supposed to do a straight Telugu film but it did not take off.

The actor is promoting his latest film Chinna Babu which is releasing next month. During the promotions, the actor said that he is flooded with a lot of offers from the Telugu filmmakers. “A lot of offers are coming my way. A good news will be announced very soon. I will do a Telugu film soon” said Karthi.

Tamil hero Karthi and Sayyesha Sehgal have played the lead roles in an upcoming film titled as Chinna Babu. The film is the dubbed version of Karthi’s new Tamil movie. Pandi Raj is the director of the movie. The recent update about the movie is that the makers have cleared all the necessary formalities and have cleared the way for the release.

The audio launch of the film is going to take place on 23rd of this month and the film’s release is going to happen on July 13th. The film is said to be a family entertainer with a lot of action elements. Karthi is playing the role of a farmer in the movie and the entire story revolves around the problems faced by farmers.

Satya Raj is playing a key role in the movie. D Immaan is the music director of the movie. Suriya is producing the film under 2D Entertainments banner. The film is releasing in Telugu by Miriyala Ravinder Reddy under Dwaraka Creations banner.
