Padmavathi film has fallen into a big controversy now. The film that is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was postponed from December 1st. The film’s director has attended the Parliament panel yesterday, and the censor board chief Prasson Joshi was also present. Panel Chairman was Anurag Thakoor, and he fired on the film and its director.

The censor board officials expressed their anger for showing the film to the media before screening to the officials. The director revealed that he has no other choice except that because he has to prove that the film has no controversial stuff. The panel made allegations that Bhansali is trying to cash on emotions and opposed the film.

On the other side, BJP leader LK Advani has extended his support to Bhansali. Advani told that the panel has no need to involve in this issue and said that his support is with the makers.

The reports coming in from the film nagar reveal us that OU students have attacked the censor office today. The buzz states that the film unit of Sharanam Gachami was not allowed to release their film. The censor board officials have put the film’s release on hold. Demanding the permission for the film’s release, the OU JAC Leaders, Dalit and Girijan leaders have teamed up to attack the censor board office in Hyderabad. They have assembled in large numbers and damaged the property of censor board office.

They have created a mess for some time over there. Later on, the police officials have stepped in and took the students into their custody and took them to the Gandhi Nagar PS. More details on the incident are awaited.

The queen of controversies, Rakhi Sawant, has struck once again, and her latest victim is the Censor board.

After her soon to be released film ‘Ek Kahani Julie Ki’ was awarded an A certificate, Rakhi expressed her dissatisfaction over the working attitude of Censor Board, and she demanded for the complete removal of Censor Board. She even offered to make amendments in the working process if she were made the Censor Board Chief replacing Pahlaj Nihalani.

Expressing anguish over her film getting an A certificate, Rakhi took a jibe at Sunny Leone saying that she was not a porn star. She also said that her films are always targeted by the Censor Board for having even minor matured content whereas many mainstream films starring big heroes easily get U certificates despite having adult comedy and too much violence.

Rakhi’s criticism is being seen as nothing but another publicity stunt.

The controversial “Udta Punjab” movie has been leaked online, much to the dismay of makers, who had waged a long battle with the Censor Board to bring out the film uncut.

A senior police official confirmed that the film’s director, Abhishek Chaubey, gave a written complaint requesting the police to look into the issue as the film was leaked on the torrents just days before its scheduled theatrical release on June 17, this Friday.

The leaked version has a watermark which suggests that the copy was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers are extremely worried that people would watch the leaked version before its theatrical release and it might lead to significant loss of business.

It may be noted that Udta Punjab had earlier created a huge stir after the CBFC refused to certify the film unless the makers did not agree to 89 cuts including the deletion of the word ‘Punjab’ from the title. Finally, the Bombay High Court declared the verdict in film’s favor.

The makers of Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3, the first porn comedy of this country, Balaji Motion Pictures, were demanded by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to apply 150 cuts for the film to get ‘A’ certificate.

The trailer of this upcoming Hindi sex comedy was released few days back, and it hit headlines in no time for it’s over the top sexual content.

The titillating trailer was watched by more than 15 million viewers for it’s never before seen on Indian screen adult sequences.

Audiences expect so much raunchy stuff from this film, but this blow from Censor Board might lead to their disappointment given that they will get to see only the censored version of the movie on the silver screen.The recommended cuts include almost all the raunchy scenes. Makers are worried that if the cuts are implemented, the movie will not live up to the expectations raised by the trailer.

The Censor Board, which is known for hard-hitting decisions and cuts, has now directed director Imtiaz Ali to remove the much awaited sensual lip-lock scene between the lead pair of ‘Tamasha’. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone played the main lead roles.

Starring Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles who are known for their terrific on screen chemistry, Tamasha found trouble with the Censor Board as the long kiss in the film was asked to cut short. The scene is comprising of Deepika and Ranbir entangling in a long lip lock, is said to be the longest ever filmed in an Indian movie.

After the makers agreed to cut short the lip-lock, the movie is granted an U/A certificate. ‘Tamasha’ is all set to hit screens on 27th November 2015.

The Indian censor board has lifted the ban on re-certification of Adult films so that they can be screened on Television. The censor board has lifted this ban after many requests from the broadcasters and the filmmakers.

The CBFC had stopped the practice of modifying A certificate films for TV in January this year. Since then, the broadcasters and producers have been demanding to lift the ban.

The Chairperson of CBFC, Pahlaj Nihalani, said that the CBFC now allows producers who have films with ‘A’ certificate to make voluntarily cuts to the films for TV screening.

Satellite right is a major source of revenue for filmmakers and with this decision, even the films with A certificate can now be screened on TV. Filmmakers can earn some extra bucks by selling the satellite rights of A certificate films that were impossible to sell earlier.

This movie was released on 18th of this month in Hindi and is ready to hit the theatres on 1st of October in Telugu. On this occasion, Ram Rahim spoke with the Telugu media in Mumbai.

“MSG that released in February is made on drugs racket and the youth getting attracted towards it. The film showcases how youth gets spoiled entering into the wrong stream and how our country is facing problems with it. The second part is released in this month and minted around Rs 102 cr. This made my belief stronger that message combined with comedy will always workout. To express something good to the society doesn’t have any language barrier. That’s the reason we are releasing it in Tamil and Telugu.

This film has a lot of stuff to look after. Action scenes are being received well; stunt masters warned me of having a body double, I didn’t have body double and performed action sequences on my own. When I did the first film Bollywood didn’t receive it well. They expressed their doubts over me. But as the second one released, a positive response came from all over. We are also planning to do a T.V series with some entertainment and message filled in it.” Ram Rahim said.
