Aranmanai 2 is an upcoming horror-comedy film made in Tamil. This film is likely to enter into the Limca Book of Records for its astonishing 103-foot tall statue of Amman.

Directed by Sundar, this is a sequel for Aranmanai that was released in 2014. This film was received well for its balanced making with horror and comedy.

The statue that was built for this movie is termed as Asia’s largest statue of goddess Amman with over 100 feet tall. The director speaking to the media said that “We are planning to involve the statue with visual effects, but wasn’t sure whether it looked like a real one. Hence, we decided to make the statue with plaster of Paris and other materials.

The scenes were the statute will be seen gives goose bumps to the audience. Workers built the statute in 40 days with dedication and sincerity. Few even fasted during the construction.”

Siddharth, Trisha Krishnan, Hansika Motwani, Soori and Poonam Bajwa are playing major roles and is produced by Khushbu. The film is known to be releasing in late 2015.

Veteran director Sundar C’s Aranmanai was in news recently for all the wrong reasons for the team behind the movie. Apparently an incomplete version of the teaser trailer of the movie was leaked on the internet.

While the director himself was stunned and shocked to learn this, his wife and yesteryear actress Khushboo, immediately went into damage control mode and tweeted the clarification out, and asked the people to wait for original teaser which would be far better. She also pleaded with the people not to judge the movie based on the quality of this so called teaser as much work still remained to done on it.

Anyways, now that that issue has been dealt with, the team has moved on to the actual proceedings of getting the movie out and sources say they are planning for a release date this September itself. September 19th to be precise.

No official announcement has been made regarding this though. However, it also then stands to reason that the audio launch will be here shortly, maybe in a matter of days.
Aranmanai is touted as a horror comedy film, and it has a multi star studded cast – the lead character being played by the lovely and vivacious Hansika Motwani. The rest of the cast too has some other stunning starlets like Andrea Jeremiah and Raai Lakshmi.

Sundar C will also be starring in the movie, while the editing work has been done by Srikanth. UK Senthilkumar was the man behind the lens.
The film has been produced by the D Dinesh Karthik under the banner of Vision I Medias.

The fans wait eagerly for this one and to see Hansika rock, in what has been promised to be an all new avatar for her.

Veteran director Sundar C’s upcoming horror comedy flick is a highly anticipated one and it seems the movie has had a serious blow dealt to it at the hands of some miscreants. Yes, very recently the film’s teaser was leaked on the internet – only it is an incomplete one without the whole CG, colour correction or RR.

The news was first passed to the director by his wife, former actress Khushboo. Sundar C, who also stars in the film along with a star studded ensemble cast which includes the gorgeous Hansika Motwani, Andreah Jeremiah, Santhaanam, Manobala and Raai Lakshmi among others, was stunned and devastated to hear this news apparently.

Khushboo immediately went on Twitter to clarify on the reality of the matter before too many fans thought that the half baked video was the actual teaser and judged the movie’s quality based on it.

This is what she had to say:

The teaser of #ARANMANAI was released without director’s consent or knowledge. It was an idea of some miscreant in the production house. The trailer is without final CG or RR or color correction. Everyone behind the screen has worked hard for the movie. Pls wait for the official release.

I realized it was done without Sundar C’s consent only when I told him about the release. He is shocked and hurt. So are Karthik Raja and editor Srikanth. Since it’s not our home production I was unaware of the developments. #ARANMANAI has created the biggest hype pre-release and this looks like the work of someone out there to sabotage it. Request you to wait for the release. Sundar C humbly requests all his fans to have patience, as there is lots of work to be completed with finesse before he releases the teaser. Thank you.
