Sumanth as ANR in NTR

NTR is the title of Balakrishna Nandamuri’s next film which is a biopic based on the life of Sr NTR. The movie is going to be exciting for everyone involved with it because the project is going to have a huge release in multiple languages. While Balakrishna is playing the role of Sr NTR in the movie, Sumanth is roped in to play ANR.

On the occasion of 94th birth anniversary of ANR, Sumanth shared an exciting picture of his look from the film. Sumanth looks completely convincing as ANR in the movie. Sumanth shared the picture and wrote, “In remembrance of #ANR on his 94th birth anniversary today. Happy Birthday Thatha. Here’s my look (one of many) in#NTR #NTRBioPic #ANRLivesOn”.

Vidya Balan is going to be seen as Sr NTR’s wife Basavatharakm in the movie. Directed by Krish, the makers scheduled the release of NTR for Sankranthi next year.

Naga Chaitanya Turns ANR

Going by the sources in the filmnagar, we have come to know that Akkineni Naga Chaitanya finally agreed to be a part of the prestigious movie titled Mahanati. The actor will be seen playing his grandfather ANR in the movie. Nag Ashwin, the young director who made his directional debut with the film Yevade Subrahmanyam is the director of the movie. The makers also approached JR NTR to play SR NTR in the movie.

As of now, we have come to know that Tarak has denied the offer but Chay finally said YES for the movie. The makers will shoot Naga Chaitanya’s portions for two days and they will recreate SR NTR with the help of the digital graphics. As of now, the film is not releasing this month and it was pushed to the end of Summer.

Digital NTR and ANR In Mahanati

Mahanati is a prestigious film being made on the life of legendary actress Savitri. Keerthi Suresh is playing the title role in the movie and the film also stars Samantha, Vijay Devarakonda, Prakash Raj, Shalini Pandey, Krish, Tharun Bhascker and others in the lead roles.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is being produced by Vyjayanthi Movies banner. The film will also feature the roles of senior NTR and ANR. In the beginning, Jr.NTR and Naga Chaitanya were approached for the roles of their grandfathers but the actors did not accept the film. As per the latest update, we have come to know that the makers are planning to remaster the old films of NTR and ANR and insert the clips in the film. The digital transformation is going to help the film a lot but it is also going to be a costly affair.

Dulquer Salman is going to be seen as Gemini Ganeshan and Mohan Babu will be seen as S.V.Ranga Rao in the movie.

Vijay Devarakonda as ANR in Mahanati?

We have already reported that Vijay Deverakonda who was recently seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s bold drama Arjun Reddy, is the part of Mahanati, the multilingual biopic on legendary actress Savitri, which is progressing at brisk pace in the direction of Nag Ashwin.

Keerthy Suresh is playing Mahanti. Samantha Akkineni, Shalini Pandey, Dulquer Salmaan, director Krish and Prakash Raj are playing an important role. Dulquer Salmaan essays the role of Tamil screen legend Sivaji Ganesan, who was Savitri’s husband. His first look poster from the film was revealed on his birthday. The film is being produced under the banner of Vyjayanthi movies.

Earlier the producer Ashwini Dutt decided to rope Young Tiger Jr.NTR and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya to play the role of their grandfathers in this upcoming much awaited biopic but both stars have rejected the offer.

However, now it is heard that Vijay Deverakonda will be seen playing legendary ANR (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) in this biopic. The official confirmation is awaited regarding it.

Rajamouli bags prestigious ANR award for 2017

Ace director S S Rajamouli has won yet another prestigious national level award to his sleeve. His name has been zeroed for the ANR memorial award.

King Nagarjuna yesterday has officially announced the name of S S Rajamouli as the winner of this ANR Award for the year 2017. Earlier this award was given to Bollywood shahanshah Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi etc. Thus Rajamouli has become the youngest member to receive this award. The award will be presented in a specially organized function in the coming days by none other than Vice President of India, K Venkaiah Naidu.

Delighted Rajamouli took his Twitter to thank Nag for conveying the news. He claimed that its his honor and privilege to bag this prestigious award for his contribution to Indian Cinema.

Nag in NTR biopic?

The sensational biopic of legend NTR Sr is announced by none other than Balayya himself. Now this movie is turning big with a cameo of another star hero.

We all know that NTR Sr and ANR shares a close bonding with each other. So it is obvious that ANR will be there in this flick. Balayya is donning the character if his dad so for the role of ANR, Balayya is keen on roping King Nagarjuna for the role. Now the buzz got doubled so that the fans can see two stars on screen. Actually, Balayya and Nag are earlier prepared everything to remake the golden flick Gundamma Katha but later Nagarjuna dropped the idea as it is better not to touch such classic. After that, there aroused a small issue between Balayya and Nag which made them far from each other. Balayya didn’t even invite Nag to his 100th flick opening along with Chiru and Venky

Now Balayya is keeping all these issues aside for the sake of his father’s biopic. Balayya is now searching the right director to handle such prestigious flick. He will soon launch this project when he gets clarity on his Raithu project.

ANR to be recreated for Nag’s film

Late legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who passed away in early 2014, will reportedly be recreated for a few minutes in his son Nagarjuna’s new film ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya.’

The shooting of this K Raghavendra Rao directorial is currently progressing at brisk pace. The makers have reportedly hired a VFX team to recreate ANR for the film. It is said that he will be seen for the duration of 3 minutes in the devotional film. The scenes between Nag and ANR are expected to be visually stunning.

ANR was last seen on silver screen in much-loved family entertainer ‘Manam.’ When he was alive, ANR played a key role in Raghavendra Rao and Nag’s earlier devotional film ‘Sri Ramadasu.’

Nag’s Tribute to his Father

It seems that Nagarjuna Akkineni has decided to exhibit once again publicly his love for his father and the late legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

Nagarjuna has reportedly used his dad’s wrist watch that he had bought in 1959 and wore the dhotis used by Nageswara Rao in his old films, in his upcoming film Soggade Chinni Nayana. This great tribute by Nagarjuna has already got rave response.

The much-awaited film, ‘Manam’, which brings the three generations of Akkineni family together on screen for the first time, has crossed one final hurdle and is all set to release on the 23rd of May.

The makers of the movie took the first copy for the censor screening. After watching the film carefully, the Censor Board issued a U/A certificate to the film.

The movie has been in the news for quite some time now. Akiineni Nagarjuna holds this place close to his heart as it is his father’s last work on screen.

The music of the film was released recently on Youtube by Aditya Music and has received a thumbs-up from the audience

Moreover, the on-screen camaraderie of Nagarjuna-Chaitanya has garnered a lot of hype, increasing the excitement of the film’s release in the audiences.

‘Manam’ brings the three generations of the Akiineni family – Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarajuna and Naga Chaitanya together on screen!

When quizzed about his feelings for the film, King Akkineni Nagarajuna says , “Vikram Kumar gave us a dream script. After we decided to do a multi-starrer, we were looking out for good scripts. We listened to a lot of stories and Vikram finally gave us a script that helped up us get started”.

” ‘Manam’ is like a dream come true for us. I’ll always be a special film for us. It will be remembered as my father’s last piece of work. It will be close to my heart. Also, it has all three of us playing characters which the audience can connect with, easily. That makes it all the more exciting. The King of Tollywood sure looks excited about this venture which is more than just a film for him.

Buzzworthy ‘Manam’ Trailer

The trailer of the much-awaited historical flick of Akkineni family, ‘Manam‘ has been released amidst much fanfare.

The highlight of the Manam Trailer seems to be the phrase, ‘ANR Lives ON’, which can be seen all throughout the trailer.

Directed by Vikram Kumar, Manam looks to churn the best of human emotions. And with a starcast comprising of the stalwarts of Akkineni family and Samantha & Shriya Saran who’d be upping the glamour quotient of the film, the film looks to be quite an entertainer and may just turn out to be the next big money spinner at the box office!

The story revolves around three characters enacted by ANR, Nagarjuna and Chaitanya. While Chaitanya falls for Samantha and approaches her dad to marry his daughter, Nagarjuna is a bachelor who doesn’t believe in love, but finally falls for Shriya. ANR is their mentor cum advisor who not only advises but shares hand in all the cute little stuff. As seen in the trailer, the story happens to travel between generations.

The refreshing background score given by Anup Rubens stands out.

Cinematography by PS Vinod looks to be of the highest quality. There are some amazingly breathtaking visuals which are beautifully incorporated with leaps of emotions.

This one sure seems to be on the must-watch list of audiences this summer!
