The faded out producer AM Ratnam has announced a project with the power star Pawan Kalyan way back. After all these months, there comes a fresh update about this flick.

As soon as he completed the flick Katamarayudu, the power star Pawan Kalyan has signed three films in a row. One is the ongoing film under director Trivikram which is produced by S Radha Krishna. Other is with his Kushi’s producer AM Ratnam, and the third one is for the Mythri Movie Makers. All the latest developments have hinted that the project of AM Ratnam will be called off as the director RT Neason has failed to impress Pawan. Shockingly, the director Neason finally impressed Pawan with changed script and screenplay which resulted in the positive reply from the Pawan Kalyan.

Producer Ratnam said that some young writers are currently working on the script and the movie will hit the shooting floors as soon as Pawan completes his present flick. Music will be scored by S S Thaman.

Pawan Kalyan’s new film ‘Katamarayudu’ is said to be the remake of Tamil hit film ‘Veeram’. Although the makers are just taking the core story of the Tamil film, they were bound to buy the remake rights from film’s producer AM Ratnam. However, it is heard that Ratnam has offered the remake rights to Pawan for free.

But, Ratnam made sure he was getting more than a fair deal for offering Veeram rights for free. In return, he acquired the dates of Pawan for a project and it is strongly heard that he has decided to remake Ajith starrer ‘Vedhalam’ with Pawan Kalyan. Tamil director RT Neason, who helmed Vijay and Mohanlal starrer ‘Jilla’, might direct Pawan in this remake.

By wishing Pawan Kalyan on his birthday via newspaper ads, AM Ratnam has already confirmed the news of producing a film with Pawan.

AM Ratnam was once the top producer, who produced many blockbusters in Tamil and Telugu on Sri Surya Movies banner. After introducing one of his son as an actor and other as a director, back to back failures prompted him to take a big sabbatical.

After few years, he made his comeback with by introducing his daughter as a producer and started making movies on Sri Sairam Creations banner. Tamil star hero Ajith became his lucky charm.

Ratnam’s first comeback film was Ajith’s blockbuster ‘Arrambham’. He produced the next two films of Ajith ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ and ‘Vedalam’. All the three have been box office hits. Recent release ‘Vedalam’ is raking good moolah despite heavy rains in Tamil Nadu.

Ajith has resurrected the career of AM Ratnam for sure.
