Director Puri Jagannath is currently focusing on establishing his son Akash Puri as a bankable actor in the Industry. He made a film called Mehbooba with him last year, which ended up as a disaster. Before that, Akash also faced failure with his debut film as hero, Andhra Pori.

This time, Puri didn’t want his son to face another flop. Thus he planned carefully and after hearing a lot of scripts, he okayed the one narrated by one of his associates, Anil Paduri. The film was launched a few days back by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and the regular shoot is currently underway.

Puri is personally supervising this project, even though he is busy with his own film, Ismart Shankar. The sources claim that he has also decided that from now on, he would be supervising every film that Akash acts in until he settles in as bankable actors in the Telugu film industry.

Puri Jagannadh launched his son Akash Puri as a hero with the film Mehbooba. The film failed at the box-office but Akash received positive reviews as an actor. He is all set for his second movie. The film is titled as Romantic and Anil Paduri is going to be introduced as a director with the movie.

The film was officially launched today and popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh made the official announcement on the project.

Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to inform about the new movie. He tweeted, “After #Mehbooba, Akash Puri’s next is #Romantic [#Telugu film]… Directed by newcomer Anil Paduri… Akash’s father – well-known director Puri Jagannadh – has penned story, screenplay and dialogue… Puri and Charmme Kaur are producers… Official announcement.” Puri Jagan quoted the tweet and thanked him.

Puri is going to keep his focus on this project as well as his directorial project scheduled with Ram Pothineni in the lead. The film is titled as iSmaart Shankar.

After the debacle of the movie Mehbooba, director Puri Jagannath is determined to score a hit with his next movie. Mehbooba introduced his son Akash Puri as a lead hero in the industry. Akash is a known face for the Telugu audiences as Puri made him act as a child artist in many of his previous movies. Though Akash scored good marks for the performance in his debut film, the movie has flopped big time at the box office.

Post the release of Mehbooba, Puri Jagannath announced that his next film will also be with his son. The latest information from the film circles is that the script work is completed for the new movie and the director is going to announce the project officially in a day or two. The particular film is said to be a mass entertainer in Puri Jagan’s style.

Mehbooba is an interesting project that is gearing up for a grand release on 11th of this month. The makers are currently promoting the film in an aggressive manner and they are going to the USA for the next phase of promotions. Meanwhile, the film was screened for selected audiences in the Hyderabad and the response from the show is phenomenal. There is a complete positive buzz on the film and everyone is praising Puri Jagannath and is revealing that he made a successful comeback.

Dil Raju has got the rights and releasing the movie in all the areas. Charmi Kaur took care of the production. Akash Jagannath and Neha Shetty are making their debut as the leads in the film. The complete details about the film’s release will be out soon.

This Puri Jagannadh’s 33rd film and it will be an intense love story, and the backdrop is that of Indo-Pak war in the year 1971. Sandeep Chowta is scoring the music for this flick.

The regular shooting of Mehbooba will starts from October end this year.The shooting part will take place in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab.
