Director Sreenu Vaitla has been going through a lean patch for a long time. His last hit was Baadshah which was released way back in 2013. Later, he made almost half a dozen films, but none of them were successful in bringing him back to the success form. To strike a hit at any cost, he is opting to make a sequel of his old film.
According to the sources in the industry, Sreenu Vaitla is planning to make a sequel to his 2007 hit film Dhee. Starring Vishnu Manchu, Genelia and Sri Hari in lead roles, Dhee is considered as one of the finest comedies that had hit the screens during those times.
Now, this sequel might feature a different cast reprising the original characters from the film. Thus, Sreenu Vaitla is looking for new actors to replace Sri Hari and Vishnu’s roles. If everything gets set, he might take the project on-board within a couple of months.
