Simbu’s Beep Song has been one of the biggest controversies which have been troubling Kollywood ever since it got released in December. The song was criticized for its vulgar lyrics and police complaint was filed on Simbu and Anirudh too.
As per the latest reports, STR today appeared before the Coimbatore police as he was instructed. He gave a statement regarding the charges pressed against him and his fellow accused, composer Anirudh Ravichander and clarified his take on the whole beep song controversy.
When Simbu attended the police station, a crowd of more than 500 people stood outside and waited to catch a glimpse of their favorite actor. After being questioned for 20 minutes by the police, Simbu was surrounded by fans and media and was greeted by waiting fans’ chants of S.T.R. When asked about the issue, he simply replied,” Will leave the rest to God.”
Earlier, Simbu and Anirudh have been asked to appear before the Coimbatore police to give official statements. While Anirudh had already appeared before the police after he returned from his international tour, Simbu was also asked to appear a while back, but STR had asked for more time to prepare his case.
