Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is currently indulged in a cold war with a section of Vijayawada-based people to make the ‘Vangaveeti’ biopic, has reportedly started making plans for his next movie.
After the success of ‘Killing Veerappan’, a biopic on dreaded smuggler, RGV has decided to make another Kannada biopic. Titled ‘Rai’, the flick is said to be the biopic of notorious gangster Mutthappa Rai based in Karnataka.
With a budget of over 30 crores, the film is going to be the highest budget movie ever in Sandalwood. Star hero of sandalwood, Sudeep will play the title role and inside news is that a top Bollywood heroine will be roped in to play the role of his wife. Rai will hit floors once RGV is finished with Vangaveeti.
Despite being a star hero in Kannada, Sudeep did villainy in Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’ and later played a cameo in ‘Baahubali’.
