Star heroine Rakul Preet Singh is going through a lean phase over the past couple of years. She hasn’t acted in South for a year, to focus on Bollywood. But that didn’t help her career shine in the north as both of her films Aiyaary and De De Pyaar De failed to perform big at the box office.
Down the south, she came up with Dev, which released earlier this year. Starring Karthi in the lead role, this film was a colossal disaster. Now, she came up with Karthi’s elder brother Suriya’s film NGK, which released in both Tamil and Telugu, today. Rakul has put heavy expectations on it.
But, the audience was disappointed with the film and stated it as a bland fare by director Selva Raghavan. Thus, it is made sure that the film is not going to have a great run, at least in Telugu. Hence, Rakul’s hopes are shattered again and we will have to see if she gets back to form with at least Manmadhudu 2 or not.
