Natural Star Nani was the first choice for Mani Ratnam when he wants to choose a hero from the current generation. Mani Ratnam has apparently got connected to him so well that he offered OK Bangaram to the actor but he has to refuse it. Out of his love and respect for the director, Nani obliged the request to give his voice for Dulquer Salmaan in the movie.
Later, Mani Ratnam approached Nani for the second time during the shoot of Nawab for playing one of the roles in the movie. Nani had to decline the request politely yet again citing the prior commitments.
Nani always wanted to work in Mani Ratnam’s direction and it is not happening at all. Now, the star director approached Nani for his next film as well and Nani is going to turn down the offer yet again as he has no dates available to allocate for Mani’s project.
