Ajay Bhupathi, the sensational director who made his debut with the film RX100 was supposed to work with Ram, Sharwanand, Dulquer Salmaan, and Bellamkonda Sreenivas. But, unfortunately, his projects with all these heroes did not take off. But, the director expressed confidence of coming up with a film and finally landed up in Akkineni compound.
Ajay Bhupathi was supposed to do a cop drama with Bellamkonda. As the hero quit the project, Ajay narrated the same to Naga Chaitanya who readily agreed to do the film. The makers confirmed ‘Maha Samudram’ as the title for the film and the movie is going to tell the story of a girl named Maha.
The pre-production work of the film is currently in progress. Samantha is said to be playing the leading lady in the movie. Annapurna Studios will bankroll the project.
