Mega Powerstar Ram Charan has been roped in to champion the cause of safety for women in the state of Telangana. The Police has been long striving to make Telangana a safe place for women and has now gained support from the Ram Charan to spread the message of empowering women with the knowledge on their right to safety.
Ram Charan along with top police officials of the state of Telangana, launched a special legal awareness campaign and conducted a self-defence workshop for around 2000 women and girls. A new website for She teams has also been launched.
Hyderabad CP Mahender Reddy and actress Manchu Lakshmi have also graced the event.Speaking to the press, Ram Charan heaped praises on the police for launching She Team. Incidentally, Ram Charan is playing the cop’s role in his upcoming film ‘Dhruva’.
‘Dhruva’ is an official remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Thani Oruvan’. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. Hip Hop Tamizha are composing the music of the movie. The film is being directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Mega Producer Allu Aravind on Geetha Arts. The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on August 5th.
