Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi is all set to release worldwide on May 9th. Already, the teaser, which was released a couple of days back, has been creating a storm on Youtube. Now, the movie setting some records in the pre-release theatrical business.
The overseas rights of the movie are bagged by popular distributors, Great India Films for a whopping amount of Rs. 12.5 crores (no-refundable advance). As Mahesh enjoys an immense fan base in the US, the distributors have dared to buy the rights for such a fancy price.
Even the digital rights of the film were bought by Amazon Prime for about Rs. 11 crores. As it is the only big film that is releasing in summer, heavy stakes are being put on it. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, this movie stars Pooja Hegde as the heroine and Allari Naresh will be seen in an important role.
