We have already reported that a section of activists of ‘Tamil Puli’ organization hurled petrol bombs at a theatre in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, which was showing Baahubali as they felt that few dialogues in the film have hurt the sentiments of a particular tribal community. Following this attack, dialogue writer of the movie, Madhan Karky has issued a press statement seeking apology and has promised to remove the words referring to the caste.
Madhan believes that the dialogue which provoked the violence is `enthaayaiyumthaainaattaiyumendha pagadaikkupirandhavan umthodamudiyaadhu,’ from the Tamil version of the movie. Makers of Baahubali are now planning to delete the phrase `pagadaikkupiranthavan‘ from the film.
Baahubali has already become the biggest Telugu grosser in Tamil Nadu and it is continuing its golden run at the box office.
