Maverick director Mani Ratnam’s long-lasting dream is to make a film based on his favorite novel Ponniyum Selvan. This period drama is hugely popular among Tamil folks and Mani was trying to make it a feature film but couldn’t as it needs a massive cast and a lot of dates.
But, it seems that he has now decided to make the film at any cost. Already he made talks with actors Vijay, Vikram, Jayam Ravi and Simbu for the film and apparently, everyone agreed to do it. Once their dates get arranged, Mani will take the film on to the floors. Meanwhile, we hear that prominent actor Mohan Babu will essay a key role in it.
Mohan Babu is known for showing his impeccable acting skills in the period and mythological dramas. Thus, Mani has roped him in for the film. Apparently, this will be a full-length character and has major screen time. Even Mohan Babu agreed to do the film and will join the sets as soon as the movie gets launched.
