Khiladi Akshay Kumar has finally accepted to do the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Kaththi.’
Kaththi, which featured Vijay in a dual role, was directed by A.R.Murugadoss. This film was released in 2014 became a sensation for the content and direction that he held.
As per the film, Vijay plays the roles of Kathiresan and Jeevanantham (dual role) who fights against the mighty corporate companies who grab villagers land. Neil Nitin Mukesh played the antagonist character in this film while Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen as Vijay’s love interest.
The Hindi remake that features Akshay Kumar in a dual role, will be directed by debutant Jagan. Lyca Productions and A.R. Murugadoss jointly will produce this film. It is still to be known whether Neil Nitin Mukesh will stay as the villain in the Hindi version.
Akshay Kumar, earlier too made Vijay’s super hit ‘Tupakki’ as ‘Holiday’ in Hindi. The original and remake were both directed by Murugadoss.
Kaththi remake will go onto sets from April 2016. Meanwhile Akshay Kumar will be seen ‘Airlift’, ‘Housefull 3’ and ‘Rustom’
