Ram Gopal Varma’s thriller film ‘Killing Veerappan’ has changed its release date. After few postponements for release, ‘Killing Veerappan’ releases on 18th of December.

‘Veerappan has an interesting story behind him. I was always fascinated to picturise the history of Veerappan. Almost Rs 700 Cr was spent by Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu governments for catching him. Approximately 900 elephants were killed for the purpose of smuggling. Osama Bin Laden was hunted down in 10 years, whereas Veerappan was chased for 20 years’ said Ram Gopal Varma in a recent press meet.

Real-time locations were chosen to make this movie. Parts of forest’s in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu were Veerappan has lived were chosen as shooting locations. Veerappan’s wife Muthu Lakshmi was also enquired about Veerapan’s routine, habits, mannerisms etc.

  1. Manjunath, B. S. Sudhindra, E. Shivaprakash are jointly producing this film. Sandeep Bharadwaj is playing the title role while Shivaraj Kumar is seen as a police officer. Yagna Shetty, Sanchari Vijay and Parul Yadav are playing the supporting roles in this docudrama thriller film.

‘Killing Veerappan’ will be releasing in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages on 18th of December.
