The National award winner Vidya Balan is back once again with her bold movie Begum Jaan. Yesterday the trailer for the film was released.
The movie’s backdrop is set in the times of India- Pakistan partition after Independence. The story is all about a woman named Begum Jaan, a brothel who maintains some other women along with her by doing business. Her palace which was exactly located on the partition line is ordered to be removed by the inhabitants of both the countries. As the Begum refuses to vacate, the rest of the story is about her fight for her palace. The trailer for sure amuses us with Amitabh’s narration, Om Puri’s presence, and Chunky Pandey’s shocking makeover. Last but not the least, Vidya nailed the entire trailer with her performance.
The movie will be released on 14th April worldwide. Srijith Mukherjee has directed this periodic drama based on original instances.
