Music composer extraordinaire Yuvan Shankar Raja is at the height of his profession, but his personal life is a constant source of material for the media. Now, we have news that his marriage is on rocky seas and there will be no saving this particular ship.
Yuvan has been married twice, the first one with Sujaya Chandran ended in divorce and the second one is nearing an end now as well. The son of maestro Ilaya Raja, the young musician tied the knot with his second wife Shilpa Mohan a few years back in a simple ceremony in Thirupathi.
But the romance has faded over time and the relationship has been a dead one for quite a while, it seems. And so we have a divorce in our future soon, but on mutual terms set by both parties.
It is also rumoured that Yuvan’s very public and much talked about conversion to Islam may have been a catalyst in this separation.
But this is not the interesting part of the colourful episode, no. The rumour mill is also reporting that Yuvan will marry his third wife soon after the divorce. Now the question is this… who is the mystery lady?
Did the relationship with this person, if there was one, become the final nail in the coffin for the second marriage? And if this person is a muslim, was that one of the actual reasons for Yuvan’s conversion?
These questions are on everybody’s mind and the people are looking at Yuvan for an answer, but he remains tight lipped. Guess we’ll see how things unravel as the days go by…
But it is a hard thing to see a marriage end… sigh.
