Actor Siva Karthikeyan made it into the headlines by adopting a tiger from the Arignar Anna Zoological Park, in Vandalur, Chennai. He adopted a white tigress on Tuesday.
The actor reportedly said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect animals that are facing a threat and the public should come forward to adopt at least one of the 174 species that are present in the zoo. The actor reportedly paid Rs 2.12 lakh to adopt the 10-year-old white tiger for a period of 6 months. In India from 1952, the Wild Life Week takes place from October 2nd to 8th every year. On this note, the actor wrote the letter to Zoo director expressing his willingness to adopt the tiger.
The donors who adopt wildlife will reportedly be allowed to participate in the daily activities of the animals and are even allowed to feed the animals in the enclosure. On the work front, Siva Karthikeyan will be next seen in the direction of M.Rajesh.
