There are a lot of people and aspirers who are struggling even to get a single chance to act or direct or any other job they are interested in. But luck favours some and they become whatever they want and reach higher positions with their hard work. Vijay Deverakonda, who is an outsider to Telugu film industry has become a rage among youth with his well received blockbuster Arjun Reddy. He is now a hot piece of cake in the market. With the image and name he got with his recent releases, makers of his previous unreleased movie “Ye Manthram Vesave” are finding time and sources to mobilise the release of their movie which was made way back in 2015. Although, Vijay Deverakonda has not made a single tweet or single statement about the movie, makers are releasing it into theatres today. Let’s see how it works on us.
Nikhil (Vijay Deverakonda) is a video game freak and he can spend a lot of time in completing the game he got. It gives him his enjoyment. He also spend a lot of time in chatrooms to find girls as it is very common in young age to attract to girls. Raagamaalika aka Rags (Shivani Singh) is a video game designer, who aspires to design a very different game without any violence or something like that. But her employers discourage her in the name of commercial feasibility. She designs a game with city in the back drop and challenges Nikhil to complete the game. Nikhil accepts it and goes on his first level of game to find Rags in the city by evening. When they both start the game, a gang who traps girls online in the name of love and sells them to foreigners comes as roadblock. How Nikhil complete the challenge despite these hurdles is the actual story.
Cast and Performance
Vijay Deverakonda who is known for his superb performance has done okay job in this movie. To be specific, his character don’t have that much to showcase his acting skills. Shivani Singh as Rags is fine. Actors who has done other characters are just okay. They neither has good characters nor they justify the given ones.
Plot of this movie seems good when looked as a single line. But the bad screenplay made it a tedious watch. Dialogues are okay.
Songs composed by Abdus Samad are okay. None of the songs leave impact on audience. Background score is another disappointment. Cinematography by Shiva Reddy is fine. None of the aspects of this movie attracts.
Production values are too bad.
Vijay Deverakonda’s name
Ye Manthram Vesave is a game between a creator of game and an addict of video games and how some external forces create problems to their challenge in the game. When seen as a single line, story of the movie looks different and new but a bad screenplay and amateur execution made it a non-worthy watch. Sridhar Marri could have done a better work to make this movie work. Vijay Deverakonda is well aware of the movie’s result and it’s content. Maybe it’s the reason why he stayed away from its promotions. Makers are in a clear cut aim to cash in the craze and buzz of Arjun Reddy but it doesn’t serve any good to them for the bad movie. Bad screenplay, bad casting, amateurish direction and outdated concepts like chat rooms make it a worse watch. Though this movie has some resemblances with Murder 2, they both vary in terms of content they offer. To sum up, Ye Manthram Vesave is a badly executed film and a patience tester.
