After the debacle of Sita, actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas is testing his luck with the film Rakshasudu, which will hit the screens on July 12. It is an official remake of Tamil thriller Ratchachan, which was a major success over there. These days, when a film gets a positive talk, people are watching it online irrespective of the language, all thanks to the subtitles.
Even Ratchachan was watched by many movie buffs in Telugu states. Meanwhile, we hear that Rakshasudu is a faithful remake of the original. Apparently, some of the scenes were copied frame to frame from the original. Thus, it becomes a huge task for the film to appeal to those film buffs.
Earlier, films like Shankar Dada Zindabad failed at the box office by copying the original exactly, by frame to frame. Films like Dhruva were successful due to the changes made to suit our sensibilities. We have to see whether Rakshasudu will overcome all these odds or not.
