Wife Of Ram Movie Review

Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna and Samrat Reddy played the lead roles in the latest film titled as W/O Ram. The film is certainly going to be one of the interesting ones at the box office this weekend. There is already a positive buzz on the movie. The film is finally in the theatres. Vijay Elakanti is the newcomer who is making his directional debut with the film. Manchu Entertainment produces the movie in association with People’s Media Factory. Vivek Kuchibotla is the co-producer of the movie. Raghu Dixit is the music director of the film. Story:

Deeksha (Lakshmi Prasanna) is the wife of Ram (Samrat Reddy). Deeksha approaches the cops with a complaint regarding the murder of her husband. As the police fail to help Deeksha, she starts the investigation on her own and finds the murder connection with Rocky (Adarsh Balakrishna). Who is Rocky? What is his relationship with Ram’s murder? Why did Deeksha suspect Rocky? Forms the story of the film.

Performances:

Manchu Lakshmi has delivered a decent performance in the movie in the role of Deeksha. She did a complete justice for the role Deeksha who is independent. Lakshmi played a serious character with a lot of intensity. Samrat Reddy is okay in his limited role and made his presence felt. Adarsh Balakrishna, Srikanth Iyyengar, Priyadarshi Pulikonda and others are good in their parts. The rest of the cast made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Vijay Elakanti directed the film. He has provided the story and screenplay for the movie. The writing is decent in the movie. The music by Raghu Dixit is impressive. There are no songs in the film, but the background score elevated the scenes in the right proportions. The cinematography by Syamala Bhaskar is impressive. The editing by Thammi Raju is neat. The limited runtime is an added advantage for the movie. The production values by Manchu Entertainment and People Media Factory are grand. Technically, the film is top notch.

Verdict:

W/O Ram is the latest thriller that deals with certain aspects in the society. The makers have tried to project-specific sequences which are mirror example of the atrocities happening against the woman in the society. There is a Kahani angle in the film, but the makers came up with their version of the same. The first half of the film does not get into the main plot of the movie and hence the second half turns too predictable with a lot of story happening. In the end, the climax became flat. The flaws in the screenplay lost the emotional connect with the audiences, but the director tried in keeping them engaged with the scenes that come during the pre-climax. On the whole, the film is a decent effort from the makers which can be given a watch.
