Actress Shamili, who has tremendous recognition as a child artist, after making her debut as a female lead with Siddharth starrer Telugu film “Oye”, Shamili took a long gap and recently entered Kollywood and signed two movies. One of them is Vikram Prabhu starrer “Veera Sivaji” and the second is Dhanush’s “Kodi” which also has Trisha in a crucial role. She was recently shocked from award winning Tamil actor Dhanush by opting her out of his film ‘Kodi’.
Going deep into the details, directed by Durai Senthil Kumar the film “Kodi” has Dhanush in dual roles. Trisha and Shamili were the names that were earlier stated as female leads. Later on, speculations pointed to Madonna Sebastian of Premam and Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum fame in place of Shamili. As for the recent reports, director R.S. Durai Senthilkumar when selected Shamili as one of the female lead, Dhanush said ok but from the starting itself, he does not like the idea. Dhanush was not happy to act with Ajith Kumar’s sister in law actress Shamili and rejected her from doing a film with her.
At first, it was Shamili then Madonna Sebastian and finally it was confirmed that it will be Anupama Parameswaran who played the role of Mary in Premam, as a second female lead in this political thriller film “Kodi”.
Kodi, is likely to hit the big screens in the month of August. Let’s wait and see!
