Recently, an online April Fools story broke out on the net, which said that actress Kareena Kapoor would do an item number in Kollywood’s own Surya’s Anjaan. This story was reported as real news item mistakenly by many sites and this seems to have annoyed the actress.
When asked by the media, she replied that she had no plans to do any work in non – Hindi industries because of the language barrier and she had no idea who Surya or N. Linguswamy was.
This seems to have hurt the sentiments of the millions belonging to the fan community of the Ghajini star, who have expressed their anger on the actress’s social media pages.
To be fair, however, Kareena also added that she loves the movies being made in the south and even in Marathi and Bengali. It’s just her policy not to do movies in languages she doesn’t understand.
“I had to turn down Rituparna Ghosh’s movie in Bengali for the same reason regrettably.” Said Kareena.
