Ace comedian Shakalaka Shankar, who rose to fame with popular comedy show Jabardasth, is part of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Sardaar Gabbar Singh. It is well known that Shankar is an ardent fan of Pawan Kalyan and has essayed many skits on the Powerstar on Jabardasth. Shankar, who will be seen as a cop in the film, has been making headlines as the Powerstar slapped him in front of cast and crew of SGS for his careless behavior on the sets.
When asked about the same, Shankar said “Pawan Kalyan is God for me, and everyone knows how much I admire him. He personally called me and gave me this role. Clarifying rumours that Pawan Kalyan slapped him Shankar said, “I shot with him for a month, and he was always jovial on the sets. He called me on a few occasions and asked me to sing a few songs. I even prepared Chepala Pulusu for him, and he liked it a lot.”
Shankar further added that he was shooting for another film at night and for SGS during the day. “Though I worked at night, I was always on time for Sardaar Gabbar Singh. Shakalaka Shankar added that he looks up to Pawan Kalyan as his god, inspiration and everything. “If I would not do a scene properly, he would warn me, and that’s it. It is not true that he slapped me.You can ask any producer, director or artiste about my punctuality or whether I have said anything wrong about anyone. I always do my work and I never interfere in others.”
