While the Gautham Menon – Ajith flick, Kaththi and Anjaan are hogging the spotlight with rumours, controversies and promotional tactics, Chiyaan Vikram starrer 10 Endrathukkulla is progressing relatively quietly at a brisk pace in the media background.
This Vijay Milton directorial venture is rumoured to be a high-octane action thriller, which involves stunning car chases that requires international teams to shoot and exotic locations across the country.
In fact, AR Murugadoss who is producing the film in association with Fox Star Studios claims this as their biggest Tamil venture yet. The movie is set to release only in January of 2015 though. Then why shoot it so early? Probably because there will be a huge amount of postproduction work to be done before the finished product hits the big screens.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the gorgeous girl who is in everything these days, is essaying the female lead in this one too. As of now, she has finished her first schedule of shooting for the film and reached Hyderabad just in time for the audio launch of the Telugu dubbed version of Anjaan titled Sikandar.
She is rather thrilled with her role in the Vijay Milton movie though, and has thanked the Goli Soda fame director for the opportunity. This is the first time she is being paired opposite Vikram.
10 Endrathukkulla will also see Bollywood star Jackie Shroff playing the baddie and veteran Kollywood character actor Pasupathy tackling a pivotal role. Some rumours indicate he is the villain but others reject this outright. There has been no confirmation from the team behind the flick yet.
Another veteran Manobala too has joined the cast as of yesterday, and like Samantha, he also seemed very grateful for a chance to work with Vikram again.
