Actor Vidyut Jamwal is known for his deadly and perfect action stunts in films like Thuppaki, Commando and Commando 2. Recently, he came up with an animal adventure drama called Junglee. The film was a box office failure though. But it was received well at a Chinese film festival.
Junglee won two awards at the prestigious Jackie Chan International Film Week in China. It bagged the award for Best Action Sequence Choreographer and Special Jury Prize: for Best Action Family Film. Vidyut, who was present at the event, accepted the awards.
Elated with the win, Vidyut said, “In India, we didn’t have a movie on real animals for the past four decades. Our film deals with ivory trading which has become a matter of concern all over the world. So, for us, it was an important movie for the upcoming generations. It is a great moment to win this award and it means a lot to all of us. Junglee was directed by Chuck Russel.
