Senior Television actor Mukesh Rawal, who is best remembered for essaying the character of ‘Vibhishan’ in long-running mythological serial ‘Ramayana,’ was reportedly found dead on the railway tracks near Kandivali station in Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

Railway Police officials said that Rawal’s death might have been caused by an accident while he was crossing the tracks. A case of accidental death has been registered, but police have said that they would probe in all possible angles.
At around 9 AM, the Kandivali station master informed the Railway police about this accident and Rawal was rushed to a nearby govt. hospital, where doctors pronounced him, brought dead.
Besides for ‘Ramayana,’ Rawal was also noted for acting mainly in Gujarati feature films and Television serials. Rawal, 66, is survived by his wife and two daughters, both married.
