Venky’s new film titled "Bodyguard" was launched on yesterday (April 4, 2011) on the eve of UGADI festival at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. In Telugu version Venky is romancing with Trisha, this is the third film for the duo, earlier they together worked for the films "Aadavari Matalaku Arthalu Verule" and Namo Venkatesha.
The movie first shot was canned on Venkatesh and Trisha, Dr D. Ramanaidu sounded the clapboard and director VV Vinayak was directed the first shot while Srinu Vytla switched on the camera.
This film will be directed by Gopichand Malineni, who directed the Don Seenu with Raviteja. This film will be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under Sai Ganesh Productions (P) Ltd Banner. Recently he produced the Nagavalli movie with Venkatesh. More details of this project will be out soon.
It is remake of Malayalam super hit film "Bodyguard" directed by Siddique. This has been remade into Tamil as ‘Kaavalan’, which was also a block buster hit film. Now it is being remade in Hindi as ‘My Love Story’ with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.
