NEW DELHI: The wedding reception in Delhi of Varun Gandhi, who is to marry a Kolkata-based fashion designer Yamini Roy on Mar 6 in Varanasi, on Mar 8 has been cancelled.
The cancellation follows the death of 77-year-old Amteshwar Anand, mother of Maneka Gandhi here yesterday.
In a statement, Maneka, whose son is Varun, said they deeply regretted the inconvenience caused.
However, the marriage ceremony in a temple in Varanasi on Mar 6 will take place as scheduled.(PTI)
