TV artist Dimple was arrested here on Saturday due to fake attack on fiancée Sridhar after he allegedly refused to marry her.
A case of attempt to murder was booked against Dimple and three others at Kukatpally police station.
TV artist Dimple claimed before the media on June 9 that she along with her assistant Mani were attacked by an unidentified woman while travelling to shooting in Manikonda, Hyderabad. On the other hand, her Dimple fiancée Sridhar complained to the police that an unidentified attacker threw acid on him on June 8. Sensing this, Dimple was suspecting Selva Raj for these attacks.
Police alleged Dimple, 23, was the attack on Sridhar and she also stage-managed an attack on herself to mislead the police. Her assistants Mani and Nagaraju were also arrested while another accused Prabhakar is at large.
Actor Selvaraj told reporters that he would file a defamation case against Dimple.
