Srinu Vaitla is one of the successful directors in Telugu. His movies are usually formula based and concentrate more on entertainment. Baadshah was above average movie with high budget. The movie showed NTR in a stylish way and director was successful in showing entertainment angle in NTR but the audience considered the real Baadshah of the movie was Brahamanandam.
(9) V.V. Vinayak (Nayak)
Vinayak is the best commercial directors in Tollywood. He makes sure his movies have good music, fights, entertainment, sentiment, heroism and romance in equal amounts to bring all type of generations to theaters. Though Nayak was a successful movie, story was old and treatment was new. Hope Vinayak starts giving importance to story and try to entertain more audience in near future.
(8) Gopichand Malineni (Balupu)
Gopichand is just three films old and directed movie Balupu with Ravi Teja this year. The movie turned to be a decent entertainer and was considered a rebirth to Ravi Teja after 6 continuous flops. Once again it’s Brahamanandam who rocked the show with character Crazy Mohan.
(7) Merlapaka Gandhi (Venkatadri Express)
Venkatadri Express directed by Gandhi was appreciated well by audience. The movie should be appreciated for its entertaining screenplay and fast pacing.
(6) Chandra Sekhar Yeleti (Sahasam)
Chandrasekhar Yeleti is one of the most creative directors in Tollywood. Though Sahasam was an average movie it was appreciated for its grand making and concept. The day when producers run behind creative directors like Chandrasekhar and stop running after commercial directors we can say that Telugu industry will progress forward, as all of Chandrasekhar movies are with different concepts and yet he is not in demand. Sahasam was a different movie in Gopichand’s career as well.
(5) Koratala Siva (Mirchi)
Writer turned director Siva was successful with his first film. Mirchi was considered a big commercial hit in Prabhas career. Siva is going to be one of the busy directors in near future.
(4) Sudhir Varma (Swamy Ra Ra)
Sudhir Varma is the surprise director of 2013. His first movie Swamy Ra Ra was a small budget movie and was appreciated well both by audience and critics. The movie story and screenplay was fresh and was found interesting with the audience. Wish Telugu industry has more directors like Sudhir in the future.
(3) Vijay Kumar Konda (Gunda Jaari Gallanthayyinde)
New entry Vijay Kumar Konda surprised the entire Telugu film industry with blockbuster hit Gunda Jaari Gallanthayyinde starring Nithin and Nithya Menen. The confusing screenplay and entertaining direction made repeat audiences come to director. Vijay took care of each and every department and was successful in bringing the output.
(2) Srikanth Addala (seethamma Vakitlo Sirmalle Chettu)
Directing two big stars Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh is not an easy task. Srikanth Addala has taken this challenge and succeeded in bringing a nice family movie to the audience. People could relate with characters of heroes who acted as brothers and both of them did excellent job. Both Mahesh and Venkatesh should be appreciated for starting a new trend of multi starrers and producer Dil Raju for producing it. Srikanth took three years to work on this project.

The top position in the list is occupied by Trivikram Srinivas. Directing a big star like Pawan Kalyan is always a pressure and pleasure. Director Trivikram had taken the pleasure part of it and come out with a good family entertainer. Filming a climax on Pawan Kalyan without action and coming up with heart touching scenes were the highlights of the movie. The movie looked grand and the first one to get close to 100 crore club. Trivikram was successful in showcasing Pawan Kalyan in a fresh look after many years.
