But since the movie’s trailer came out some time back, the problems started with some Musilm organizations filing a case against it alleging that the flick hurt their religious sentiments.
Now, this matters seems to have been resolved to some degree and the producer of the film Aascar Ravichandren has come forward with the following press release:
“Thirumanam Enum Nikkah is a film for everybody. There are no scenes that inflict or degrade any religion or caste. In fact the cast and crew of ‘ Thirumanam Enum Nikkah’ are dominantly Islamic. The intention is to show the case of culture. Understanding is a key word for relationships, be it couple, children, neighbours, friends, or subordinates. Here we speak on the strength of understanding between religions and their cultures.
Glad that the problem surrounding the movie has been sorted out. It will be a festival feast. The film will release on or after Ramzan.”
The film has been directed by newcomer Aneesh. It features the music of M Ghibran of Vagai Sooda Vaa fame. In fact, the music of the film has already been something of a hit among audiences.
The supporting cast of the film includes Heebah Patel, Deekshita Manikkam and Jamal.
The movie also has the noteworthy factor of being perhaps Nazriya’s last film in Kollywood or elsewhere for a while as she is getting married come August to actor Fahadh Faasil, and rumours say she plans to retire from acting.
