We have already reported that the producers in Telugu film industry decided to shut down the theatres from the month of March 1. As the producers are having problems regarding the agreements with digital service providers, the producers council has decided to shut down the theatres from March 1st.
The Telugu film chamber of commerce has taken this decision and also requested the other south film industries to extend their support this bandh. Already Tamil Nadu Madigar’s Sangam extended their support for the same and reveal their friendly gesture.
The digital service providers are charging 20 thousand rupees for the digital production which is actually high and also creating a huge loss for producers and theatre management. The producers have requested providers to decrease the fee, but they are not giving attention to this demand.
As a result, having left with no other option except to go on a strike, the producers have finally taken this decision. The discussions are going on, but still, we have to wait few more days for the final decision.
